hey I seem to be having trouble with the mods I try to run it and when I get in game I cant select any of the great old ones on age 1 is there something I am doing wrong ?

First, try redownloading the mod -- I've made it so you don't need any additional files in your main AoM directory. Also make sure you have no other mods active, that could cause issues. After that, if you see no yellow text in the top left corner when you start a random match, let me know.

@@greasedgamer55 Yeah, I haven't done anything for deathmatch or lightning yet -- I'm still trying to figure out how I'll balance invokers and rituals in those settings. For example, rushing to the mythic age would get all rituals researched immediately, and then spamming, say, cultists of cthulhu into maws of the deep would be egregiously OP. The Eldritch are designed as very strong in the really, really late game, in part due to their extremely expensive Grand Temple upgrades and the versitility of their rituals, and especially Deathmatch doesn't work well with that. It's something I've got to work on. As for the formless spawn, yeah, I really need to find a better placeholder model hahahaha Hopefully once is done, I'll be able to get custom models for everything (so no more warcraft and no more flesh colossi!).

Each god has a unique cultist who builds that god's rituals and can transform into a unique unit or effect.They're a bit confusing, especially at first, so when you age up you get pair of them for free to experiment with.

These mods r cool but the balancing is always questionable. Who thought it's just a good idea to trust a generic modder with balance? It seems like giving like 3-5 scouts which have big speed/line of sight already make this one of the most op civs. And I doubt many of these units are balanced either. But it looks like it'd be fun if the AI with an enhanced AI mod was given a weird darkness civ like this and then attacks, not knowing wtf the units are etc.

The Eldritch do have good scouting, but the fact that their scouts have almost no hp means they die almost instantly to anything. Yog-Sothoth, though, has his resilient flying scouts and god power which give him objectively the best scouting in the game, though.
