In multiplayer the Ragnarok is used with combination of Flaming Weapons. The imminent push is insanely strong, since the opponent is forced to take an engagement to defend. BUT if he/she manages to defend, you lose on the spot.

Ragnarok has a couple of huge weaknesses - because of the fact that the heroes spawn in different parts of the map depending on eco layout, they must be recollected to organise a push, which takes crucial time. And also, since you are pop capped most of the time you can't make support units even if you suddenly find you need them badly.

If anyone is wondering, that big empty blob on the minimap to the right across the water, that's the spot you saw in the beginning where Arkantos met Reginleif. It's just a little easter egg for cheaters. Get ready for shit to kick off immediately as soon as Well of Urd begins btw.

Total deaths tally: Arkantos: 58 Ajax: 35 Odysseus: 3 Agammemnon: 3 Chiron: 7 Amanra: 24 Setna: 0 Gargarensis: 2 Kamos: 9 Kastor: at least 16 Greek misc. heroes: 27 Priests: at least 59 Pharoahs: 6 Norsemen in Egypt: 13 (1 Hersir, couple of Jarls and cav, Njordsir) - all died Hersirs: over 129 Heroes of Ragnarok: Count them yourself One of the easiest missions in the campaign and Viper still manages to get Arkantos killed.

If you go for Bragi + Baldr , you can cast Ragnarok + Flaming Weapons together to grant you THE strongest power spike in the game. Skadi suits a more defensive/ booming style with good farms and Giants/Frost. Skadi can be used to counter Egyptian Bast + Nephthys going for Ancestors + Eclipse push, which is another insanely strong power spike in Heroic Age.

Little tip when using Reginlief: She heal much faster if the injured unit is idle. You can actually see the hit point bar recharge like villagers building houses.

Ragnarok is the best power for sure in my opinion. With it only I can win alone against 3 teamed hard ai. The trick is that you can't easily repel early attacks (you need maximum vils) and you need to have armory upgrades to have strong heroes (they outnumber a lot the cap pop).

That Ragnarok move is similar to the Revolution in AOE 3. Man that revolution option is really epic there!!

Except in Revolution, you have Factories producing resources so it's not AS all-in as this one.

Shift + click in the banner (idle villager or idle military banner) = all units idle selected (very useful when you use ragnarok).

viper pls dont use the gold mine as soon as you can all the time, it get's more gold depending on what age you use it in. I think it gives like 800 at start and 4000 if you use at the last age which is a pretty big difference
