- Awww, dammit! I wish the Sphinx could actually do that. >:x - Considering the Petsuchos is a giant crocodile, I always thought it was strange that it could _only_ attack with its solar rays and didn't bite at all. This would've been a little nice addition. Change to bite attack when enemies are too close or when attacking buildings. - Now that honestly should've stayed in. Poseidon is already a God focusing on sea warfare, right? So, nothing better then an early agression with a Hyppocampus that does _very little damage,_ but will never stop respawning after death! It'd be a nice way to keep harassing your oponents' Docks even before the Classical Age. - *_I_** SERIOUSLY **_need to ask what the hell did you do with that Fire Giant._* Because it wasn't just the texture, y'know. You CHANGED the goddamn effect of his fireballs. That said, yet another unit whom, like the Petsuchos, would've been cool to have a melee animation once an enemy got to Range 1, right on his face. - Yeah, although I recognize that praying in a temple was a Greek's gimmick, I still feel the Egyptian Laborers not praying too was very odd considering how much that civilization _revered_ its Gods. Granted, they _kinda_ represent that with the whole Monuments thing, but having them praying at Temples even if they would generate Favor much slower then the Greeks, would still have been a nice addition. - Now this one is a weird one for me. Because, on one side, the Norse Gatherers not being able to construct is already weird in an on itself. On the other hand, I can totally see and agree with the approach they were going for the Norse. It just made them unique while still being fun to play as. (btw, that mine over there, did you add it to the game or was that always in the build?) - Yeah, this honestly has no excuse for not being in the game. I mean, I know it's a minor detail, but having the villagers carrying the fish when they go fishing would've felt better then just carrying around meat. - Oh my Gods, favourite part of the video ever! The Bondi is a re-skinned Hoplite, so rather lazy. The Golem could've looked a little better. The Nubian goat is actually a nice adittion. The Trollkarien, the Griffon and the Apep are fucking *amazing!* - Wow... So many statues that would've looked so awesome in the game! I particularly like the one with the Colossus and the one with the Anubite. (it looks like a statue dedicated to Anubis) Also, who is that holding the trident-looking spear? Athena? Arkantos? - =__= Are you telling me we would've gotten a _monkey civilization?_ ... *Someone needs to mod that in right now.* - Okay, no, fine, I can understand why they would have trouble implementing a volcano. That thing would've been HELL to keep animating! (if you did the one in this video, you did a very good job) - Awww, man! Even though it's not perfect, that snow drift effect is so cool! Wish it could've stayed in the game. - Okay, no. The snowfall is beautiful, but that would've been an OVERLOAD on the game. Honestly don't blame them for letting that one out.

Well, as far as I remember, villagers don't fish. Fishing ships do. Maybe that's why this animation is unused in the game.

@@softwarelivre2389 No, villagers can very well fish too. It's just really rare to find fish next to the shore, so we usually just go for fishing ships, but villagers have the ability to fish if they're close enough.

If we ever make an age of mythology to I reckon we should bridge some of the gaps in these cultures. Norse, Egyptian, Greek and Chinese are all miles away from each other and the cultures in between very interesting to include you could have the Celts in central Europe and a mesopotamian civilisation such as the Persians or Babylonians. You could make the three major god fractions into a choice between different civilisations of an area so you could choose between Germanics, Gauls and Gaels for Instance.

I have never played the game (just AoE 2/3), do the winds/storms/snowfall do anything or are they just visual?

It's mostly visuals, although there are some God Powers than you can use that involve lightning storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. There's one that spawns a snowstorm & wolves, but the snow isn't as heavy and it doesn't have that thick fog. I suspect what we've seen here was probably a beta for that God power, though

They are all hidden in the game files. Some of them came with the Extended edition, and the Tales of The Dragon DLC.

Golem Griffon, and Apep are added with the Tales of The Dragon DLC.(Even in the DLC these are hidden units.) Other attack animations are hidden within the game files. I used my own modding skills to activate them. I am planning to make a part 2 someday, and show other unused stuff from the game.

@@goshlike76 Sorry for the late reply. I will cover them all in an all new video very soon. The footage is already recorded, I will release it as mod. They can be activated. And it is easier to activate Griffon, Trollkarien and Golem etc. You just need to remove the not player selectable tag from the proto. There are already mods that achieved this in the workshop. But some of the others are more complicated.
