0:50 seconds in and you've already lost me… How do you upgrade them to orange or purple? How do you meld up to purple? Do you have to do it all at once or can I meld 5 green, then come back when I have 5 blue? *Can you make a video on how to reverse the bad decisions?* My city is now level 20 and I just clicked and melded things randomly all along the way. I have nothing purple and I probably should.

It's difficult because there are so many different views and menus to build your equipment. If you are a medium to high spender, I would recommend building orange. If you're an average spender then purple is probably better. The reason being, if you don't spend for pieces then accumulating enough for "orange" will take forever vs. purple or lower. As a piece of equipment grows in level, it will require more and more melded material. So for instance if you're looking to level up a piece of equipment, you can use whatever colors you want but you can't get an end result that is higher than your best colored piece (ex. if you have all blue pieces you won't get orange). Another example is if you have 3 purple and 1 orange you can try those but your chances for purple piece are much higher. That's what we call gambling in the game. It's a difficult aspect to learn but you'll get the hang of it.

So starting out I made a green level 1 equipment and just hit c15 so now the game wants me to upgrade and put extensions on everything BUT I really don’t even get how this stuff works yet so I don’t want to waste blue materials for nothing. My question is to start off would it be best to wait until I can meld up to purple and orange pieces at level 1? I don’t see the point in upgrading a green or blue level 1 when in the end I really want to start off making an orange level 1 right? Basically get everything orange level 1 and then use the resources to upgrade them and add extensions? Or am I completely wrong with how this works lol? Thanks for any help. It’s appreciated!

Hello, yes depending on how fast you accumulate pieces you want to have purple or orange. Casual players stick around purple whereas light spenders and above go orange. If you have any color at level 1, 2 or maybe even 3. You can gamble them to try and upgrade the color to purple or orange. I would suggest getting the color you want by level 4 because the gamble can take a long time to accumulate pieces. Message me on the Age of Origins discord server and I can help you out.

Nice video Jack. I wish there had been this info when we started playing. Wouldn't have wasted so much time trying to figure out what was important. Do you find anything that helps the odds of your gambles unofficially?

We all wasted time figuring this stuff out, lol. When gambling, I typically didn't make the right side equipment orange. They took too long to acquire. I preferred more chances with lower percentages than less chances with greater odds.
