Cool video Doug, but the important questions I wanted answers are: 1 Do Melusai shed scales? 2 Does Sylvaneth trim their branches instead of getting a haircut?

I really hope you will make videos on the daily life of each of the realms seperately. Would be awesome!!!

I just finished listening to Soul Wars audio book and some of my favourite parts of it were about the people and the goings on of the city of Glymmsforge a desert city in Shyish.

Were the people who lived there wearing excessive eye makeup and shaved their heads?

Have recently come back to Warhammer from ~16 years ago, which makes me feel old. AoS was a huge divergence from the grounded lore of WHFB. One thing i've struggled to find, which I feel is a masive part, is maps, the WHFB map was huge and detailed, if a battle or location was mentioned you were able to relate it to an area and the wider narrative. Although there are SOME places and maps, naming a city or location within a story, whilst interesting on a micro-level, feels difficult to relate to the whole realm, rather than just "it's a place in X-realm. Saying that, am really enjoying the lore and playing AoS, just waiting for that thing to galvanise it all together. Love your content bud, has been a great way to catch back up and get into it.

Well most of the cities storylines take place in the great parch I. Aqshy and prime hinterlands in shying. Both have detailed maps of there regions. Though the entirety of the realms will likely never be entirely mapped. That is intentional.

@@gwell2118 yeah have seen the ones for Ghyran, Aqshy and Shyish, and they look mega, just comparing them to how detailed the Old World was (and is from what i've seen of the New Old World....if that's a thing?) it feels they lose that anchor, especially with the background day-day life. Thinking how long WHFB was around for compared to AoS they've still got plenty of scope to expand, so looking forward to where they go with tje next few campaign series.

I loved the Old World too. I think one of the issues they had was that they ran out of room to explore. In comparison, the realms can be as big as they need them to be. I’ve come to love the new setting, although I’m hoping Warhammer: The Old World will be a nostalgia trip for me.

@@theplummetingscotsman5874 Fair enough, what with Hysh now technically having a full realm map I expect more maps soon. Likely when third edition drops. As of now the two realms most mapped out is Hysh and Shyish. If your looking for the most detailed, the updated map for the The Great Parch in Aqusy that was released with the role playing game is the most detailed and about the same size as the old world too. Might want to check that one out.

@@theknightofzen347 same, hope it's not going to affect AoS development though as worst case GW do half a job on both which would be a shame.

The big problem with any fantasy setting that has huge cities and then plenty of wildlands, is what do all those people eat? Historically speaking, you need so many hamlets that feed into a village, so many villages than create the need for a town and then so many towns that would create the need for a centralized city? If you are going for even basic levels of "realism" you cant have huge cities just sprouting out of a forest without the infrastructure to feed it physically or require its industry and artizans?

Hi Doug, I've been listening to your podcast for a week now. Given the current situation, I've already gone through all the faction playlists (mainly as I play Terraria :P). Will we see at some point a video about Gotrek? He's always been my favorite character from the Old World. In any case, thank you so much for these videos, they've been really interesting to hear, and they are a really helpful distraction from all the global situation at the moment.

I feel like they would disagree a lot, since more numbers just means more knifes to stab you in the back with them
