Makes sense that they wouldn't if you think about it really haha. I mean Grima isn't exactly a figure who would inspire respect or even fear in, basically anyone really. He's not really any kind of warrior, commander, sorcerer etc, just a manipulative and opportunistic politician. For me the weirdest aspect of any BFME game was the notion that Saruman would put Wormtongue of all people in charge of leading a military operation of any sort.

It first I was like, wow they made saruman a bit OP. It was only near the end that I realised, oh he is the ringhero. Good job to everybody. Looks amazing!! We finally have enough wood to fuel the fires.

Just out of curiosity, are the new dunlending units and the shield bearers particular kinds of infantry, or are just meant to give more variety to the faction (which is always welcome anyway)? As many have mentioned already, I do love your head-cannon characterization of the established Dunlanders and king Wolfgar in particular (although I would have made them more Celtic aesthetically myself; but that's a very minor quibble, and Wolfgar certainly sounds a lot more like a Norse name than a Gaelic one)

It would be a nice game mode named "Capture the Only Ring". AI controlled Frodo would walk around with his invisible cape, ring, and a huge range of view. A player who finds him, kill him, takes him the ring and hold it a couple of time, wins. Of course player who destroy enemy also wins :V

Have the mine launchers on Isenguard fortresses always been this powerful?? I just cheesed multiple AI with an all mine launcher fortress in the middle of the map, and it felt very wrong.. I then set Isenguard as my enemy until I got an AI that spamm'd mine launchers on their fortress, and even with human micro, they completely shut down any and all melee attackers. Which kinda makes Mordor's lava mote of "reducing melee effectiveness" feel like a joke in comparison. It also seems to theoretically make Isenguard the most difficult AI to siege when this scenario does occur, forcing the player to ONLY use ranged siege weapons at the expense of losing any infantry archers or Calvary to the stun lock effect on the mines rat of fire. 10/10 faction. Isenguard mines are the future. lol

The only thing I don’t like is that most of Saruman’s spells (Ring version) are AOE based so they are kinda hard to cast in diverse terrain.

Excellent! I´ll be waiting for the release! I don´t like the standard lightning attack for Saruman even as a hero ring, is out of tone with bfme or aoe. For me is like the standard attack for Smaug was a fireball or breathfire. Fantastic work overall! Salud!

The lightning basic attack is only for ring hero Saruman, normal Saruman has a melee attack

Open the patch launcher. The second drop down list is about enabling old 2.02 versions. Select v8.0.1 from this second list and apply it. Then the mod can be installed without any issue.

PC specs shouldn't really matter, the games engine is ancient you will notice in these videos its always just 1v1 against AI and the command point factor is default. doing both of these will have the game being as stable as it can, you should also restart after each match you play to stop the memory overloading and the game crashing.
