In the previous game there was a spell called “great hail” and it was essentially like that spell, hailstorm except you picked the hex it fired in and it fired only once. Still it was very powerful and often outright won fights. Pretty OP and annoying to fight against. That and static shield kind of made air spells too strong, as well as made the defending advantage too strong if you could open with Great Hail. This version of the spell is way less fun but at least it seems more balanced, thank Merlin.

Call yourself a High Elf with an orc and giant vassals and an army with no longbowmen. How can you go around with an army of cockatrice, spiders and eldrich horrors? These are dark elves with no honour. That aside, enjoyable series.

Nah, nah, no archers. The elves need all the mages. Just bombard them with magic missiles and all that cool stuff. Just imagine looking at the sky and seeing an arrow rain, but the arrows are fucking magical missiles. How cool and devastating is that?

That big Aoe spell thing hitting like 4-5 units twice at the beggening lost you the battle most likely

Argh that city defense! The real mistake was to group up all those soldiers/monsters to that massive AOE spell. Other than that it was epic. What I can't understand and go by is why sending 2 really epic piece of gear to the worst hero possible instead of buffing your leader to godlike levels. She and her army is the last thing you wanna lose after all.

If you fully inspected into Neutral, You can summon Equilibrium Guardians that are neutral angels that do bonus damage against good and evil units.

Out of pure nostalgia-hype I reinstalled AoW3 and started a scenario similar in mods and settings to this one (recreated some sort of Scourge necro frostling conquering and freezing the land against a bunch of living factions) but after nearly 2 hours 3 out of 4 IA gave up because their throne cities were captured by Indipendents since their leaders where wandering the void since 10-15 turns. I was a bit disappointed because I think I created some well made/interesting Leaders and I wanted to battle them; now I'm stuck fighting a pretty lame Alliance-like faction which is the weakest of the 4. Sometimes I hate this game :|

I find that pressing escape and going into the menus (sometimes more than once) fixes the bug were the camera wants to move uncontrollably.

I'm REEEEEALLY late but hear me out: If you opened marcha's character sheet on the siege around 1:08:40 you could indeed use the Nourishing Meal ability. When there is too much you have to do this :/

First I'm sorry for ever doubting how serious morale was. Second, I think you need to use your non-hero armies more. You left those two armies, one with only one unit, traverse half your lands when you had twice their numbers defending your nearby cities that you could have used to destroy them. Instead you chased them with your heroes instead of leaving them near Liyandin, which you could see was the focus of a growing number of enemy units, or searching for Yozzt's territory and attacking him. Also, there was that first group of enemies that came near Liyandin, two armies that were weakened from your glyphs of warding, and you did nothing when you had two fairly capable armies near the city. Basically, just be more aggressive with your non-hero armies. They're all mostly made up of cheap bowmen, storm maidens, gryphon riders, or summoned units that are easily replaceable so use them a lot.
