Awesome review. If you ever get the chance try to beat the final story mission via conquest. Fighting everyone. Now that's a real slog of a fight. Magic victory seems to be the easiest method.

Man the constant reminder of HoMM just makes me wish for a new one not bastardised by ubisoft. Though with the new dragon dlc for AoW has extremely interested me.

Can you comment on the AI more in future videos, Muk? One of the complaints I've been hearing about this game is that the AI is quite bad and makes terrible decisions that often lack context and sensible tactics. You didn't seem to touch on this at all.

I didn't experience anything resembling bad AI during my play. The ai had multiple difficulties but I played on the normal/standard one. As mentioned I lost to it once and had to replay a mission to defeat it. It was also quite good at multitasking many armies. Most of the times I defeated it were due to outplaying it with spells. I haven't tried the harder difficulty ai opponents yet.
