I'm Brazilian and I loved to see those Holden cars going around Sydney when I lived there. It is such a bad new. Cheers from Brazil.

I have a Holden 1997 VS and a 2001 VX. Both have been very good cars for me. Ecotec V6 engine. Easy to service and fix if any issues. Will soon be fitting a supercharger to the VX. Its all about the ford and Holden in Australia. Such a shame if they'll be made elsewhere.

To make things even worse, GM said recently that it will sell its Opel division in Germany. Holden was supposed to sell rebadged Opel cars (Astra, Insignia) after its own models gone, now what can they sell? Don't tell me I'll only see Holden-badged Daewoos in the dealership!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible news!!! I am not Australian, but I love Holden and HSV cars since I was a child, when I discovered this company thanks to an international car magazine. During my teenage days, I used to imagine myself driving a HSV Senator (by the way, with manual transmission and steering wheel on the left side...), and I really thought that the large Holden sedans (the families Statesman / Caprice and Commodore / Calais / Berlina) sooner or later would be sold in Europe, previously being regadged as Opel / Vauxhall... But, instead of this, now the news say that Holden will stop manufacturing cars in Australia in 2017, and since then, the Australian-made Holdens will go down in history... Please, GM bosses, change your decision!!! And send Commodores to Europe, please!!! I miss an Opel flagship since the Omega was discontinued in 2003, and in my opinion the current Commodore would perfectly play this role... Best wishes to all the Holden employees, and thanks for making (and having made) amazing cars for decades!!! Kind regards from Barcelona, Joan (John in Catalan).

Holden car prices went up , because of labor policy

So less demand for them . Blame labor

Don't worry.. they say the manufacture is moving somewhere else. That means we will see Holden cars in the future. The case is Holden won't be an Australian Car company anymore. More likely Holden will move to America/Detroit But i feel there is a chance Holden will become Korean just like Hlaf of Chevrolet's sedans
