Did you just pull enough rope through to lead off of, basically starting a second pitch and dropping the rope down to switch on to for the belayer?

looks like he tied himself off onto the pro he placed in case he fell, then pulled through enough rope for the belayer to reach and reclip into that, then would have untied his inital safety tie in once he was again on belay, (so yes). ondra and mitdbo did the exact same thing on that roof 9a? in italy, except that was a sport route and they used a long exender (so that it wouldnt weight them and void the send) to clip into whilst pulling the rope for the belayer
