the difference is that you're not guaranteed a wage streaming but by law you're guaranteed pay at a job and you'd only rather stream assuming you were already a successful streamer which is a big if, the hard part about streaming is dumping all of your hours into streaming when you're coming up instead of taking the safe route of getting a degree/job. Many people attempt to become a streamer for years and never blow up, are you willing to take that risk like most streamers do cause if you spend years trying to blow up and never do you'll be left in a worse position than if you had just gotten a job in the first place.

@loosetodaywintommorow3481 maybe if you made points based off of the full video and not just a 2-minute clip, what is being said would make sense. This entire conversation got started bc he had mentioned his social battery being drained from streaming. Another important comparison he made which has been clipped out, is if you were to do an 8 hr presentation for your job, non stop talking, you wouldn't be too happy to speak to anyone else for A WHILE. Even if it was 4 hours of using your voice muscles constantly. He also explained that the jobs such as retail and customer service leave you with the same soulless energy because you have to put on a performance. Physical labor doesn't require to mask and repeat the same sentence over and over and act happier than you actually are (unless your supervisor makes a big deal out of you not putting in 100%)

A job "hardness" and people reaction to complaints from those job holders is based on Envy and "Grass is always Greener". A Train driver makes 100k plus easy but they don't get time off and spends long time away from home. A mcdonald guy would be envy of the train driver for his pay but the train driver would envy the mcdonalds guys because he can hang out with friends and family every night. Then you say the Train guy choosed his job so he can quit and stop complaining. Train guy would say he can't quit because his life is built on his income and you have expectations of you. While the mcdonald guy is poor but he isn't committed to a job and can find one with more pay.

fr this, people comparing emotions and feelings and trying to invalidate others cause they have it worse. not just that, Hasan was literally talking about how he went to a party and felt like he was rude because he was hella tired and left early and explained that streaming eats away at his social battery more than his sales job used to. people just took 20 seconds and ran with it. and everyone else eats it up instead of saying, "hmm 20 secs is not enough i need more context"

No, the thing he’s missing is hasan doesn’t just say he’s a socialist he says he’s a communist. Communism is about equally distributing the wealth, if he’s got money in abundance then by his own philosophy he should be sharing out what he doesn’t need. The fact he won’t do that is exactly why what he preaches doesn’t work, it sounds good on paper but there would be no incentive to make loads of money if you know you’re going to be paid the exact same as someone with an entry level job.
