Also, in the comics Mutants are born with the X-gene that activates when they hit puberty, while in the MCU and comics, Inhumans are humans that have a dormant alien genetic maker in their DNA that activates when exposed to Terrigen.

Especially seen in S4 when you realize if the person who took him in was good then he would've been good. You can understand that his abuse is what made him the way he is but it's not an excuse for his actions. I understand liking Ward because I like him but he's not that complex and there is nothing wrong with hating his character.

25:12 Inhumans are _also_ born inhumans... the difference is that, unlike mutants, who get their powers during their childhood or adolescence - though they might look weird since birth - inhumans lack powers and look just like humans until they go through the terrigen mists (which wouldn't affect a human and are apparently toxic to mutants, or at least they seemed to be last time I checked the books). Even if they don't go through the mists they are _still_ inhumans, though, and their children will be too... which is why a lot of people who looked perfectly human (but, unknown to them, weren't) happened to develop powers when they took the terrigen tainted fish oil pills. (Of course, though, now that the mouse ate the fox things are bound to get significantly more complicated in the MCU, so only Feige knows how they'll make sense of all this without making the audience lose interest...)

Ward is dead. He found his purpose stepped up as a leader of HYDRA and delivered the creature. The creature is in Ward's body but he is not Ward. Mutants and inhumans are two separate things that coexist in marvel comics. They will probably also coexist in SHIELD in a few seasons.
