Rammstein - 2016 Festivals Tour // Fails and funny moments

This is a project on which I've worked for about half a year. I was initially just going to help Rammstuga PT with their usual videos, but they stopped doing them, so I "took over".
This video contains most of the moments I deemed worthy. I couldn't find videos for some songs, but I think it shows the fails, bloopers and funny moments that happened throughout the tour.
Each channel whose video(s) I've used are shown during that specific moment, along with some personal notes or context about what's happening in the clip, the song and the concert. Some videos aren't available anymore, due to copyright strikes.

As someone who has done stage and attraction effects before, even the fancy $2k DMX mega foggers have the issue of THE FUCKING HEATER KICKS ON RIGHT WHEN YOU WANT FOG!!!!! richard is my favourite guitar player, and he's the most badass dude it seems, but god damn who wouldn't want to hang out with paul if they had the choice, he just has a blast being goofy and taking nothing serious, its truly amazing.

It's rather Paul who is badass. Richard is rather fragile because of the tough childhood he mentions a lot. Flake wrote about Paul that he's their main troublemaker because goes straightforward with stuff and barely ever hesistates. Of course he does seem like a fun guy. Sometimes he surely is, sometimes he tells a female reporter to ask him something nasty just because he got bored with the interview.

It amazes me that the crowd at the Hell and Heaven Festival and at the Rockout Fest managed to overpower him, in a language most propably don't know and not completely off-pitch as it is often the case at festivals where you usually have a lot of drunk people singing drunkenly.

Funfact: if something's out of sync you can often see Christoph looking over to his left gong-drum (which looks like a huge bassdrum). He hides a display in there where he can see the backing-tracks plus their markers so he always knows how much time is left until a certain part.)

The "smoke machines" at "Keine Lust" are C02 shooters. They get really really cold and sometimes the valves freeze and do not shut. 8:10 - No fail. Not every country's law and every stage allows for this maneuver. Additionally for festival sets every band has to make some cuts to make it easier to prepare all the shows. You can clearly see that the lightshow was adapted and it was planned that till would only stand on the riser. 14:38 - Same here. 17:00 - probably a broken string or malfunctioning radio 20:20 - See 8:10

Thanks for the info regarding the effects on Keine Lust. (small sidenote: it's CO2, from Carbon diOxide; not with a zero) 8:10 and 20:20 - I could see that being true, but I doubt that's the case since they used them to raise and then lower Paul and Richard during the first song ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/epDckKObnb6NqNE and kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIjHqo2jd9-Smrs ). Furthermore, they only played festivals during this leg of the tour (except the Berlin shows), so I don't really see your point of "the band had to make some cuts". Also, the lightshow being adapted is clearly not true, since they used the same one previously and further during the tour (example from the official proshot kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYnJe3iefNF2sMU ). If you look at the direction of the rays from Vienna and UK, they are clearly pointed upwards, where the platform would have been. 14:38 - I don't have info to dispute this (since it was an isolated case), but I still doubt it was because of laws or festival management.

Awesome video! I love that you provide all the details for each clip, including the concert details and attributing the uploaded (most don't). While it doesn't cut back on your views (I've watched this too many times), I can also look it up to see the event in the context of the full video its taken from and find alternative views. At 14:40. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it may be because whatever Rammstein use to control the light rig positions may have stopped working, so they couldn't lower the winches down to use the wings or didn't want to risk using them and having Till get stranded. The lighting rig issue seems to be something that kept coming up during the tour.

First off, I loved the Video,really, you must've put much work to it, so keept the good work up, but, musically seen I have to add some things that are in my Opinion at least no fails, but wanted things to happen. Please don't be mad at me for pointing these things out, it just really bugged me to have that as a 'fail' even though it's wanted or just misheard. The first 'Fail' where Till supposedlystarts his Verse too early is wrong, he didn't start too early these vocalbreaks were on purpose, it was differently played. the third fail with Feuer Frei. Again, Till didn't sing too early, but the recording is so bad that you get the Idea, because Schneiders drum is a bit off beat (wanted may I say) and that's why it sounds like that he started too early. I might sound like Miss knows it all, but playing the drums for severalyears now you even hear in the original recording on the Album that Schneider pruposely plays off beat in Feuer Frei the Stripped Video Fail is not a Fail. I don't know if this is common knowledge but, Rammstein have been heavily critised for the video of stripped and they weren't allowed to play for a long time, and they play to say fuck you to the german establishment, it was purpose The Hallelujah laughter from Till was just to add some more theatralic to the song, because the song is about a priest raping a choir boy and I guess Till wanted to laugh to show how unmercy and unholy thisact of violence is Throughout Sonne, when the mic wasn't working I love Till reaction by throwing it away and how the crowd just went on singing I feel with Till very much, I know how frustrating it is when you are such perfectionist but some asshole tears it all apart, Fuck austrians they get nothing right, not even Hitler (Sorry for the bad joke)

It's ok, I appreciate the feedback. I have to mention the fact that not all moments that I put in are fails. Most of them are various funny/out of the ordinary moments. Regarding the Zerstoren fail, he is starting too early, compared to how he sang basically throughout the rest of the tour. If you compare it, for example, to a Berlin video (Nfc1850kOgM) or to my video from Poland (lQiQ7rl6iVs?t=1163), you can see that it's earlier. It may also be because it's their first public play of that song and probably about their 4th or 5th in total (counting the rehearsals), so maybe he didn't have the timing correct yet. Regarding the FF fail, what does the recording have to do with it? Also, how is Schneider off-beat? He doesn't even start playing the drums before Till's fail (another POV: lydnP06s0sI). The FF intro has been the same for a decade, so compare it, for example, to the Download 2013 performance (jo87GQA_MlM). Till definitely starts singing too early. He starts midway into Flake's part, when it should be at the end, so you can't only blame it on Schneider. If you are still not convinced, let's say that I'm wrong. Fine, Schneider is off-beat, which caused Till's "fail". Schneider and Flake don't change the tempo and rhythm of their parts. Then why does Till adjust his rhythm, if he's on-beat? The Stripped one is not a fail. It was just something interesting, because they haven't done, neither before, nor after the concert. The Halleluja one: again, it's just a funny moment, because usually he didn't do that.

Yeah, I see your points and maybe I just thought that you meant something different, when you pointed out that Till sang too early in Feuer Frei. To be honest, I'm too lazy now to rewatch these scenes, so let's just say that we are both wrong and right :D I do believe you, because you gave me other examples of the same songs where the 'fails' didn't happen. I think you didn't quite get what I meant with Schneider being off beat. For drummers this is a usual term for purposely playing behind the actual rhythm it's also called playing laid back. The best example of this kind of drum play is the song nothing else matters from Metallica. When you listen to the drums you can hear that Mr. Ulrich is a bit behind everyone else in the band and Schneider has some Moments when he does this too live and in Studio when recording the album. And I did realize that this is not only a fail compilation I hadsome good laughs at the funny moments. And I didn't say anything about those, right? :) Still, this comment was not meant to discredit your work on this video, I do like it very much. I personally just have a problem with the term Fail, when it comes towards Rammstein. It's a problem that I have, because I love them so damn fucking much and Ican't stand it emotionally when someone says or even points out that they are failing. I bet you are a big fan too, otherwise you wouldn't have put so much effort into this video, right? :D You know I'm from germany and I always forget that Rammstein is loved more everywhere else but not in Germany. Here, they are actually sometimes the victims of false accusations and hatred towards them and sometimes I'm overly protective of the things somebody says about them so please don't get me wrong for my comment. I see what you are pointing out and I understand it and I have to say that I was wrong for some of my statements. I truly am sorry when I worried you.
