I’m visually impaired, and cars on footpaths are seriously a danger. Sometimes I don’t use my cane and get over confident and walk into cars parked like that. Last week i was walking at night, sweeping my cane in front of me. A car was parked out of its driveway and across the path. I was walking a bit fast on the public footpath, super confident and I hit the car with my cane really loudly. The owner flew out of his house and started shouting and swearing. That truck driver committed a crime because he gave intent that he was to cause harm. Plus he left his vehicle unattended. He will most likely be fired as all this was during working hours. I literally just passed my HGV Class 1 test today and let me tell you, you just don't realize how massive those machines really are until you're in one doing 50mph down hill. My arse was twitching the whole way! That driver is dangerous with a temper like that. Imagine what he's doing on the motorway when nobody is looking.
