If you read comments. The Alternative Fire into Hook, Primary and melee combo isnt that hard on console. You just change ability inputs and it can be done. If you just hold melee while you primary fire it comes out most of the time

i think the thing that makes overwatch less fun now is how balanced they are trying to make everything. Of course, you don't want a couple characters to be insanely great, but the goofy OP-ness of certain characters was SO FUN. Ok Cyx combo for controller is a bit difficult but what I do is direct hit or spread hook then press right thumb stick to melee to Before i even hook them in for the kill it works but thats what i do

Cyx, I have taken a massive inspiration from you, and have been making Hog for a few seasons now. My progress has rapidly improved, however, I haven't been able to surpassed 3150 SR, despite being able to get 20-30 hooks per round. I usually get four gold medals, ( sometimes five regrettably ) and less than ten deaths, yet will still lose. Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need better teammates? Because I honestly feel my Hog is Master level.

I'm not Cyx (clearly) but you'll probably never get a response from him on YT nowadays. If your mechanics are great/okay, you need to improve your decision making, positioning, and game sense. You may also just be feeding which gives the enemy team an advantageous ult economy even if you're not dying from it.

While I 99% of the time play on PC, I got OW for the Switch for when I travel....doing the Hog Combo isn't TOO hard, but I also use a nonstandard Joycon (Splitpad pro) that has a button on the back (where your middle->pinky fingers rest) thats remapable, so I set it to melee. Honestly, the Hog combo feels pretty good doing it. ALMOST as easy as PC.....almost. Just cant flick hook with a stick....
