Alestorm vocalist/keytarist Christopher Bowes discusses the band's formation and really quick signing to Napalm Records. He explains their lyrical evolution from straight-faced pirate themes to sillier songs like "Mexico," which is about fucking a donkey, and reveals how that has helped with their longevity, as they're just having fun and not taking things too seriously. The band's disdain for bonus tracks resulted in them having dogs bark on the deluxe edition of 'No Grave But the Sea.' Lastly, he talks about his favourite pirate-isms and the countless pirate themes they can still tap into for future material. July 13, 2017.
