I like how fast the games go. It makes it really easy to play multiple times in one sitting. The variety in the decks and the familiar characters has quickly made it a family favorite.

I notice a lack of items in both decklists; is it because there are no items that particularly help with either strategy, or are items just not useful compared to characters and actions/songs?

There are plenty of decks in Lorcana that make good use of items and songs. The Aggro deck just wants to play cheap high questing characters and get to 20 lore fast. Items would slow it down. The Emerald bounce deck has its 'plays' from it's character abilities, so again characters are generally more valuable than items.

Wow, Pinocchio and Lilo with bounce is crazy powerful. That was quick and brutal. Could definitely see the song deck being a bad match up for agro though. One Grab Your Sword could hurt badly.

question, when you bounce merlin with bibbidi at 6:22 and play him again, doesn't it state 'another char' ?, would that be an ilegal play?

It's certainly confusing, but once it returns to any zone where the other player wouldn't normally have hand knowledge it's no longer treated as the 'same card'. Therefore you can play it again (imagine if you had another copy of that card in your hand, how would you know which one was being played?) This was confirmed by the official lorcana twitter account.
