Great to hear that MS Project can sync with MS Planner but it would have been very helpful to show how to link Planner to Project.

Connecting Planner to Project means that tasks are mutually synchronized (i.e. completion of a task in Planner that becomes visible in Project)? how to do it?

You will need a connector. Advisicon built one, but Microsoft keeps changing the backend schema so we sunset that. There is another company who has a bridge (3rd party app), but I’m not sure if they will still support theirs. Basically, updates between project and planner may be handled differently by Microsoft as Azure Dev Ops (ADO) and other tools like MS To Do, SharePoint Tasks Lists, Dynamics, Project for the Web, Project Operations, etc. are all looking for a bridging process. The discussion by Microsoft now is possibly creating a central task hub where all tasks flow regardless of what PM tool is used.
