I'm coming into all the changes you talked about and I feel the same way about some of those things, like taking hormones. It's nice to hear from someone who made the same choices I'm leaning toward. Your tiny coffee pot mug had me laughing. ☕ God bless you.

Hello! Great video. A woman I knew many years ago lost her 19 year old son in a farm accident. I have never forgotten what she said: "It is a gift to grow old."

This had been chock full of wisdom. Nobody warned me about menopause. I tried a prescription of Premarin which made the hot flashes unbearable. Really, it was made using urine from pregnant mares 😵💫 So, I got through it with natural herbs like I always do. Thank you for sharing with us ❤

Yes, Dawn and it is not a good life for these mares either. You are so very welcome.

Arthritis is my biggest problemI do a lot of crying because the pain is so bad but I do it privately. If I did it front of my husband it would make him feel worse than he does already. I cant take a lot of the arthritis medicines because they make my stomach bleed. I'm sorry you are suffering from arthritis, Maryanne. I have it from time to time. I try to remind myself that each day, I am closer to glory.

I fight the thin hair hypothyroid thing, too. Taking Vit B complex helped some. B12 by itself did not!

I love your focus on what's natural, and best for your body. Thank you for mentioning the toxic side-effects of some "beauty care" products. As women, we get pushed by Madison Avenue to over do it. Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement. I needed to hear that. ❤

Gina, I would like to share something with you, at 46 I had a huge heart attack which resulted in having heart failure, stentts and a pacemaker, defibrillator fitted, 4 years later I had breast cancer, and due to the gruelling treatment I now have brittle bone disease...now,that sounds tragic, but, always a silver lining, after losing my hair it grew back silver, instead of mousey, I gave up teaching and now ,at 57 I live a slow but wonderful life with my daughter,I now have time to enjoy my home, my daughter and plenty of time to study my bible and have time just for God, my faith is stronger and I am contented, so, in a nutshell, I am OK with getting older, I am very fortunate to still be here to care for my daughter who is autistic...life is so precious isn't it . God bless you xx

Yes, aging has a lot to do with acceptance and most definitely I need God's grace. I love your videos and your sweet chats. You look pretty in pink! Awww. sweet little Honey Bea is resting while you are chatting. We all age and with God's help, he helps us to realize aging is a normal process and knowing God is within us no matter how old we are. As I grow older I realize the goodness of God all through my life. His fingerprints are all over my life journey and for that I am most thankful. The hardest time I had during menopause was that I started having lots of anxiety and had to quit my job. I didn't take hormonal therapy either ~ took some natural things that helped me. Thankfully I didn't have hot flashes. I like your hair the length it is. Cute! Love the color. You would look cute in a bob cut. You are right, you wonder what they put in hair color and how it could effect you. God has helped me to learn to age with grace, knowing it is his plan for me. He let me get to be in my 70's, I have had the experience of being a Grandma and would not have missed that for the world! I agree about having a cookie now and then ~ all things in moderation.

Hi Gina! I agree. Maybe it’s just me, but I see these celebrities on tv and in movies , and to me it’s so sad. They don’t even look like themselves . I know peri-menopause has taken a toll on me, but I just thank the Lord for another day! I am going through this process naturally. Thank you for the great video ❤

I agree, Bobbi. I suppose to some extent their "looks" are their livelihood. You really do need to take it one day at a time. xo

@ oh yes, I am very well. The job I do takes a lot of brain power so by the time I’m done with work work a lot of times I just want to soak in the word of God and just be in the quiet. It’s weird how my brain does that, but I do try to get on on my days off. I have Thursdays and Sundays off work. It’s a strange schedule, but the Lord put me in this job and he’ll see me through.

I don't know if every women gets facial hair with menopause.. I didn't and neither did my Mom. I didn't take hormones either because of all the bad things I have heard about taking them. I took an herb called St. John's Wart and a multi vitamin for women and those helped me some. I still had hot flashes though.
