Also, this takes place 6 months after the events of Infinite Wealth. And wouldn't you know, 6 months was Kiryu's deadline in that game.

​@@aronsurakh1747I feel like he became too big after 0. He suddenly became genuinely second most important character after Kiryu. For 0 fans, maybe as important. I don't think that RGG have problem with that, but look that way. Even after his backstory in 4/5, at that point you could say, Saejima is more important character. Not anymore (even Kiwami 2 told us, that he lied to Kiryu in 2 and prevent Omi vs Tojo war). Majima need space in the story. That's why he was cameos. Best in the series. After 6 shits on him (I hate this game), he's 10/10 in 7/Gaiden/8. But he's on third plan, for max two scenes. He would stole the show, like he did with those. And they wanted to close Kiryu story, and create new protagonist. Leaks are saying that we'll see previous events from his perspective. Probably, when he will be getting his memory back. Maybe we'll see at least more of 7/8.

I was shell shocked when I woke up this morning, and saw this on my feed. You mean to tell me that they made a Pirate game that is right up my alley, with all the fun combat, naval battles, possible mythical creatures to fight, and pirate captains to take down and plunder for treasure amidst the stormy seas; and they combine it with the over the top zany fun that is the Yakuza adventures. If they're going the father route with Majima in this game, I wonder if he'll reflect on his first marriage with Mirei Park from Yakuza 5 at all. That relationship ended when Park had an abortion without telling Majima, so if one of the focuses is on fatherhood, this story could let Majima experience being a dad in a way he was wasn't able to before. Although, maybe it's a bit sad to frame it like that. Granted, he seems to have amnesia, so I doubt it would be explored with much depth, if at all, but it's still interesting to think about.

Majima was something more since 2. Ppl are really missing out, when they start from 0, because they didn't have full story without 4/5. 0 is literally sequel to Majima story in 4. I only recently played Dead Souls. Game is really nuts, but i was really suprised, when i saw, that it was same Majima as later. They knew who he was, they just showed more in 0. My point is... I'm probably not in the minority when I say I expected more from this year's rgg summit. Why? Next year marks 20 years of yakuza. Do you what we go on for the 10th anniversary? We got yakuza0 I guess we'll be getting another majima game when this franchise turns 30? I'm happy for a new majima game.
