I'll never forget Tomorrows World when they introduced the Compact Disc.They claimed that they were tough,practically indestructible and not affected by dirt etc,they even spread one with jam and played it! Now we know all this to have been complete bollocks.They scratch easily,attract dust and shit that stops them playing and require extremely delicate handling .Tapes on the other hand would play after rolling around in the footwell of the car for a month covered in filth,CD's?No chance.
