Is this what the confidence filter does? Removes unreliable matching points?

I did not understand what's the use of view matches other that seeing the matching points. Can we use this to optimise or improve further workflow ? If so how ?

Superficial. Everything in video can be determined by attempts with software. Lacks new material, something that is not in the manual and.. it is to basic even at 2x speed.
