It's Louie Beatto on drums for the live footage. The interview is with Joe
@MrOkkie54 жыл бұрын
@@hankgege2199 If that is so then the footage of Joey drumming from 5:24 and on is from another concert? Would be possible Joey and Louie both are in the video as there as another guitarist on stage as in the interview as well in parts of the footage, it seems...
@hankgege21994 жыл бұрын
@@MrOkkie5 yes it had to be. Because I saw another video on you tube of the same show which had more footage and Roger introduces the drummer as Louie Beatto. Also the live footage has Alex Kinon as lead guitar and in the interview it's Gordon who replaced Alex. So I'm thinking this interview was probably done maybe some months after this show.

"Existence of Hate" is a criminally underrated song. Raging thrash, existential lyrics. P.S. I love Kabula.

They get labeled hardcore but it's identical to thrash metal; hardcore is Fear, black flag, angry Samoans etc
@justsomedudeyouknow8372 Жыл бұрын
@@kookadams85 if you listen to their early stuff its hardcore. That's how they started out. The thrashy stuff didn't come until the cause for alarm lp(3rd record). Been listening to them since the 80's. I know what hardcore punk is. I wouldn't consider fear or black flag or angry samoans hardcore. More like hardcore punk. Whereas stuff like jerry's kids,minor threat, necros,and negative approach i would say is actual hardcore.

Watch the interview starting 14:30. Rob Kabula is the only honest guy when it comes to NYHC: it's asuburban american middle class thing. Vinnie and Roger are ridiculous hypocrites: how true you are to the music, c'mon!

A beautiful place 🤣😂🤣🤣 , maybe most people don’t image what’s lower east side looks in 80’ , it was dirty , dark , abandoned , all buildings were old like a shit , it was like a war zone .
@cpf3833 жыл бұрын
Great observation. I really enjoy the music but it’s ridiculous how phony it is. Bands just keep pumping the “city/gang/hip hop/jail bird image”. I can’t relate to that. Never have, never will. Look at how they are in this video, then look at their newer stuff. Gangbangers.... In that interview, Kabula called them out. If you listen closely, Roger says he’s from Jersey. If you listen more closely, you’ll hear them say, “This isn’t going in”. I was friends with an older guy that got me into hardcore and punk years ago. He always said they were goofs. Hahaha. I still like them though.
