I've just started the wheel . First thing I did was tape the jig and rim together to eliminate a potential source of movement. I'm using thick PVA on the rim as it holds the spoke in place whilst giving wiggle room to make sure everything aligns properly.

Those wheels are kits in themselves! It is time consuming, but very well worth it in the end. I got pack #4 about two weeks ago…..I haven’t started mine as of yet. Been building something else for a show coming up next year, so I’ll keep all the packs safe until I can get going on it. Thanks for this clip Wayne…..I’m going to save it for future reference as I’ll probably need it! ☺️

Great video! Actually, I saw Agora's video on this, and though it looks tedious, it also is appealing to the amount of detail work involved. Gives a since of accomplishment! Bragging rights. Frankly I look forward to getting this build. I think the idea of micro-drop of glue may be an excellent recommendation; but I think I'll try to accomplish it without glue. One thing I like to say is: "No glue was used during the construction of this build!"

well only 4 more to do at some point in the next 8 packs of the type E after this one then. wonder if they got you g doing 2 in one pack and 2 in another or stretching them out like track sections. Also yeah the like i mentioned its all in the last 7 stages of the DB5 build you basically slap all the car together they defiantly changed a lot since that through the delorean and into the later cars like ecto 1 and jeep willy 2which makes more sense.

Because that my friend would be taking the excitement away far better to do each individual spoks than premolded like Wayne said it comes from the heart. If your not a into making models you wouldn't understand
@dashriptide
@dashriptide 2 жыл бұрын
i want to say the DB5 was done with spokes molded and something about them was off or not enough spokes in the mold. and people modified them to be real like these are. and since a lot of the car is build it does give it a hand crafted novelty that you as a builder can point out that you actually put all the spokes in those wheels 1 at a time. ive been subjecting my mom to waynes videos and shes getting the idea that even though they are a lot of money the time you spend building them and then seeing them for yourself just how huge they are kinda justifys it. and watching wayne build a model is cool to see and follow but when you the guy in that chair building the samething wayne and others show on here you start to understand just how heavy and how big and complex they get to be with each model having different parts, not to mention it sets that model apart from another
@plastiksurgeon9129
@plastiksurgeon9129 2 жыл бұрын
Nothing beats the appearance of real wires than using ACTUAL wires. Tedious, but those of us that have been building a long time know how patient one has to be, to accomplish a certain “appeal” or “appearance”.

The spokes are alot more simple than a Pocher1935 Mercedes .They had spokes and the fereal the spokes went into .Talking about small parts each wheel had around 200 parts or per wheel.

I think if you look at what you did again, you'll realize you have the spokes wrong. The top spokes should only cross 2 of the bottom spokes. Yours crosses 3. You can see this in the Agora instructions at step 13 onward. You did exactly what I did. When you take it off and start the A/B spokes in the next stage, you'll find they won't work. I had to remove all mine and re-do them to only cross 2 spokes. Otherwise the next step, which is actually much harder than this step will never work and look right. I used double sided tape after trying to do it without glue or tape, that's a waste of time. Could be wrong about what you did, but having done and re-done mine a few times, doesn't look right.
@WorldofWayneUK
@WorldofWayneUK 2 жыл бұрын
Lol you made me panic then. The angle of the pic is deceiving it touches the third spoke but only crosses 2 . I counted the diamonds and have 24 and it looks like the pic so I think we are good to go
