How do you actually know you're getting "3-5 bushels" with an early fungicide application? You're doing replicated trials, over several locations, over several years? A huge meta-data study just came out that compiled data from 20 years across several states that found that an early application pays less than 50% of the time. Not to mention those unneeded sprays drives fungicide resistance. Also, cutting rates like you recommend further accelerates fungicide resistance. You get the most likely yield response and return on investment from a VT application.

1. Fungicide is an amazing product that farmers don’t take full advantage of. 2. Call an airplane. NOT a helicopter. Years of research through multiple universities now will prove that.
