Besides different folders, I also number each track name so it plays in that order. I use this for audio books so its important.

OK everybody! Only MONO-RADIO to record from!!! I contacted customer service just before Christmas 2022, and they told me this device included only a MONO-RADIO, so every recording you make from this device will be in plain MONO quality. To make brilliant radio recordings in quasi CD-quality, I use (external pcm-recorder) 'Olympus LS-P4' plugged into my (radio) 'SOUNDMASTER IR6500SW' using a cable and headphones. (From this I get 96kHz-FLAC HIFI-stereo recordings in studio quality from FM radio source.) That's the way you do it if you want to record from radio in real good quality!

I have one of these and they're great. Its very hard to find players that take a removable battery anymore, and even this player isn't made any more now I think though there are a few still available. I have plenty of AAA rechargeable batteries so I always have it ready to go. Sound quality is very good, the soft plastic is nice to the touch. Regarding playing files in order this a problem for many MP3 players of this type, I use Linux and use a little tool called "fatsort" which will sort all the files on the file system alphabetically, its very useful. There may be something similar tools available for Windows. The only thing complaint I have had is that the play/pause button on mine needs to be pressed quite hard to accept the click.

Hi! Thanks for the well done review. It convinced me to buy this mp3 player and I've been mostly very happy with the purchase. My only problem so far after using it for several weeks is that the power off / sleep mode doesn't seem to function. Nothing happens after the period of time that I've set to either power off or sleep time. I like to listen to music when going to sleep and I'd like the player to shut down after a certain amount of time to save the rechargeable battery. Any idea how I could get it to work?

Just purchased this for my husband and I'm trying my best to figure it all out so I can explain it to him!! Appreciate your video but I do have questions.......I've plugged it into my computer in hopes of transferring some music to this thing but my computer doesn't even recognize it....do I have to insert an SD card in order to download music or is it capable of handling "some" files without the SD card?? HELP!

Does this device have STEREO RADIO to record from? I only saw an 'FM' symbol when the radio was displayed. I think it should be an 'ST' symbol. Can anybody please help?

Can an aux cable be plugged from the headphone output to the aux input of a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music? My friend was gifted a Harman Kardon Studio Onyx and can't figure out how to play music from a USB drive.

Someone on Amazon wrote, that this device can't play mp3s with certain order. Can you check and confirm it? If I can't choose folder and plays files orderly this device will be useless for me as a audiobook player.

You can choose folder. But when it comes with playing, it keep getting jumping off from the list setting (as like 'all repeat'). And not so fast. There's input lag on this device. But at the price, it does make sense for some part.

It takes a micro SD card, so the number of songs will probably depend on the size of the card, size of the music file, etc.

You have to use headphones, this does not have speakers. When you have headphones on, you can turn the volume up pretty loud.

Just to mention - you will need a 32 GB micro SD card to copy files to the player. My PC disk will not recognise the player without this. Specifically 32GB - anything higher in memory will not work..😊

Yeah, I've heard that a lot. I don't practice what I'm going to say and don't have time for retakes, so I do end up with those "umm" moments, but I'll try to avoid doing that. Thanks for the advice.
