Share lng po mga Sir. Soil Analysis is the basic procedure sa farm mngt. Dito po natin magauge ang Soil Ph; alkalinity & acidity. Malalaman din natin ang NPK & micro nutrients that is readily available sa lupa. Soil analysis is also a tool in determining sa computation on how much grams of NPK fertilizer is needed per plant or per hectare. N or Nitrogen is primarily responsible for the roots & leaves devp' t. of the plant. P or Phosphorous is responsible for the devp't. of its stem, branches, & stalks of the plant while K or Potassium is responsible for the buds, flowers & fruit devp't. Note. Urea, 16-20-0 and other granular fertilizer is design to be applied directly to the soil. Avoid mixing these granular fertilizers w/ water as drench application because these granular fertilizers esp Urea is highly volatile, & it will evaporates instantly lalo na kong ihalo sa tubig, otherwise nagtatapon lng tayo ng pera sa hangin. Foliar or Liquid fertilizers is recommended sa mainit na panahon at available naman po sa market. Brochures of different crops is available in our Municipal Agricultural Offices (MAO) in Cities & Municipalities & Dep't. of Agriculture. Brochures is also available in UPLB, and Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI). FYI.

Sir, gud am. Very inspiring ang discussion nyo and its really high time for a lot of people to go on such endeavor considering the fact that our present agricultural lots keeps on shrinking as it is converted to subdivisions notwithstanding the increase in demand for food. A piece of my thought on your making of mini-pools, a small canal to handle discharge water that will ultimately re-join the source water canal after this pools would imbibe the hygienic measure in maintaining the clean water flowing into them.

nakaka miss ang papaya farm namin noon,papaya farming ang hanapbuhay ng parents ko before,at yun ang nkapagtapos samin limang magkakapatid.pero just to share, from planting,mapapakinabangan mo xa hanggang 2 years talaga,naranasan ko din from pagprep ng buto para gawing seedling,hanggang pagharvest.btw kung mahangin area,need lang ng bamboo for support,yan po ginagawa ng mga papaya farmers na nka CONTRACT sa DEL MONTE PHIL dito sa misamis oriental.good luck sa papaya farm sir,need lang talaga ng inputs at alaga para mas maganda resulta.god bless po.
