It's not often you come across this former Deutz-Fahr top model: the Agrotron 265. And it is even more special seeing it in a typical Dutch trike configuration, build by the farmer himself. The two extra wheels steer with the front axle and are just as handy crossing a small ditch.
The Agrotron 265 was launched in '03 as a replacement for the 260. It was only build until 2007, when it was replaced by the X-series. This one was build in '07 so it must be one of the last, from the updates series. It has a max horsepower rating of 262 HP from its 6 cylinder 7,14L Deutz engine. It has a 40x40 ZF transmission and 10.5t lift capacity. Exactly what is needed for this big plough.
The 'eco plough' was build by Dutch company Rumptstad, now owned (and seized) by Lemken. This pioneering company manufactured ploughs especially for clay soils. The eco plough was developed in the early 90s but only became a small success with the introduction of RTK-GPS for on land ploughing. This 9 furrow model is one of the last build before production stopped.
You might wonder why they are using this tractor for ploughing. The farms normal 130 and 150 HP ploughing tractors were occupied elsewhere and this was free. It is normally used for drilling in this configuration.
