I love how every story describes humanity as these gentle creatures in times of peace, but as soon as were in a war, the aliens are describing us as behemoths of terror. Like what do they expect from us??? Our history speaks for itself. Like, "oh look, I've been wanting to test out all this new shit now."

For humanity, peace exists to resupply and R&D time. America has known only 16 years of peace since it started. While Europe is missing chunks of it's own history, it has known only 350 years of peace in the last thousand. Rome was literally never at total peace. Greece was only at peace during sowing and harvest seasons. Egypt was always at was with the Middle East (literally ALWAYS in ancient history) and before it unified it was always at war with itself (upper and lower kingdoms). I mean...our history is one of war.

There is an esoteric treatise that speaks about how a soul can die or ascend while the body or vessel still lives. It also talks about how a new soul can then be born and inhabit that now vacated vessel, it may have access to the memories of the previous inhabitant, how that can affect and imprint the new soul, yet the new soul can be completely different from its predecessor.

Story#1: Interesting. For a while I was part of a social club that had a power struggle problem. The majority of the executive wanted to deal with it permanently. So we adopted a constitution that was designed to take the power away from whoever was on the executive.
