I received my H12 last week. I'm looking forward to following your progress and modifications. I changed the oil in mine after one hour of use to Penzoil full synthetic 5w30. I'm up to 6 hours on the machine. It arrived with a few missing bolts and several of the grease fittings loose enough to turn with my fingers, oh and one broken off grease fitting that required an easy out to remove. I also removed the canopy to fit in my garage. I bought 5 gallons of ethanol free 90 octane gas and runs fine. Digging stumps is not fun with the 16inch bucket lol. I'm ordering a ripper to hopefully help with the roots. It has more power than stability and i've already had a few scary moments while operating it. Seat belt is gonna be another purchase! Sorry for the long reply.

Lots of folks identify the exterior grease fittings as broken zerks. The toolbox that came with the H12 has a needle applicator for the grease fitting that they install for protection from outside hazards to standard zerks.

Being tinier than all hell is exactly what’s needed in many situations where nothing but the smallest digger can get in to do the job.

I’ve the same china mini exc. no trouble with overheating, even in hi 90s summer hi humidity , I did remove the back access plate, and extended the exhaust pipe out the back.

Thank you for making these videos. Just bought a small farm and was looking for something to do some root removal and ground grading, etc. I have done everything from rebuild car motors, to installing car audio, to installing and repairing hydraulics on lowriders so all of your mods will e in my wheelhouse. Great for getting ideas from others. Again, thank you for this video series.

I bought the L12 and the thing I liked is it had a hydraulic cooler with a fan. It also had good access to the engine compartment.

Thanks for the video. im looking at those for my homestead and quickly finding out that folks around here are making small mods to new ones and marking the price of them up to insane numbers. wishing you good luck on the machine. I plan to follow your progress.

I bought the QH12 and the side and rear panels are different. Yes, it does get hot, so hot I cannot touch the engine housing. And when I check the gasoline level, the 10% Ethanol is boiling off. I ordered cooling fans and the hydraulic thumb kit online.

Beware of AGT, i recently ordered one directly from them and due the loose bolts it lost some of the hydraulic brackets, so far they have refused to replace them. I not found anywhere to order replacements so i have to fab some replacements. I assume the warrenty is probably worthless also.

I saw a question today - by putting the filter on the tank, after the hydraulic cooler, are we risking too much back pressure in the radiator as the filter gets old? What are your thoughts?

I just took delivery of a Hightop HT10BZ. It looks almost identical to yours. One difference is I ordered it with the hydraulic cooler which has a fan. So far it runs nice and cool. I am looking to put hydraulic quick connects on my aux hydraulic. It came with a hydraulic thumb and a hydraulic switch box. Any suggestions on how I get the right size/model quick disconnect fittings? By the way, mine arrived in great shape, no broken parts, all bolts tight, and quick attach disconnect installed. Very happy.

I have one of these just started to notice the hydraulic oil is foaming. Thinking I need to replace the hydraulic oil.. Is there a drain anywhere for that system?

Help, please. I really appreciate your channel and what you're doing for all of us wanting or owning these machines. Again, thank you for putting in the work to help improve these machines's. I wound up picking up an AGT L15 it's like the L12 but with joy stick controls. My unit didn't have a thumb or the bosses to mount it. Can you have your guy cut some like on your H12? Or could you sell or send me a drawing with the dimensions and location on the boom, please? I would pay for the drawings if needed. I plan to add a thumb and would even buy a used mechanical if anyone has upgraded to hydraulic. Please, someone help.

Hello . We bought a ht10 2 years ago paid 11,500. These are cheaper to fix. Same machine is selling for 5000.00 . I tell everyone. You will need to know how to work on them. The only thing that has broken is swing motor. Kubota would be 2,500 to 6000 depending on what part messes up. This was the 008. Ht10 cost 300.00 for the new Chinese hydraulic motor . Have you seen the diggit em15. That's the one I'm going to trade ht10b in for.

I will be following your videos. I bought the FF13 version of this brand and it won't start. I can get it to run for a few seconds by spraying carburetor starter fluid into the carburetor. Is there a gas valve I haven't been able to find? Edit: I found the fuel valve and it was already open.

Most likely you’re gonna need to pull the bowl off the carb and give it a good bath. Some debris must’ve clogged up the needles.

@@thegarageconnection Yes, it ended up being both the fuel valve and the carburetor being clogged with gunk. My next project is to swap hydraulic hoses to act like John Deere controls. It's been over 40 years since I operated a backhoe and it was a Deere. I liked it way more. Seemed more natural.
