Could the preheating be combined with the reflow heating for the SMD components? (Of cause some THT components can't handle that thermally, so the two step soldering is still needed for boards with such components.

Hello I have exactly the same model with the engine for soldering electronic boards like in this video .i need to give me some information about the temperatures in degrees Celsius, which is suitable for gluing of printed circuits in each stage of production because I have some problems with stains from sticking onto the printed at the end of the process. what is the suitably temperature for the solder and which must be the suitably temperature for the preheating stage . Thanks a lot from Greece.

@ Agrowtek Inc. Which material is used for those small holding plates of the PCB ?. It seems they are not getting Tin plated on them 1:30 while only the PCB solder joints get it.

I do jewelry soldering. My first thought was titanium, because solder wont stick to that material.

How does the solder go up the joint? It gets to the joint which is at the same level as the PCB but doesnt get to the PCB. How come? Does it travel up the pins?
@agrowtekinc.46767 жыл бұрын
Yes, the solder wicks up the pins and holes with proper application of flux and pre-heating in the same way as hand soldering.
@solderkingtv63534 жыл бұрын
Yes that’s the soldering flux that allows the solder wick and provides the hole fill. Poor fluxes provide inadequate hole fill

Probably stainless steel. They're called fingers. I worked at a place that had a wave solder machine. Ours was different from the one here. Our fingers were right on the belts. We didn't have that carrier thing. We ran boards continuously. One after the other all day long. Boss man liked production.

Yeah same my boss was a slave driver...So it kinda works like this and I will post a link...Start with a board it gets solder paste this is for any parts that sit on top of the board rather then have leads and go through it..That goes through a reflow oven which heats up said board and the paste soldering the parts to the board..Then it goes to SMT which is a bunch of machines that take parts off reels and place those parts the ones that go through the board onto said board..Then for us it went to VISION which is a machine that visually inspects all those parts from SMT are placed correctly...Then it goes to this here the wave some parts don't take heat well so sometimes a foam is sprayed on them on the board to keep from ruining that part when it goes through the wave...Then once through the wave you have FINALS where ppl in chairs inspect,clip leads and solder any parts the wave missed..Sometimes after all that the boards get CONFORMAL COATING which is just a most the time see through once in a while just a dark black coating over the board to keep any moisture out of the board because it may be outside or in a moist area...Then we test the board make sure it works well b4 it gets coated and it's off to shipping... kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYuylmeMea2hbrs

@@ee-mon-ee1653 For us clippy leads was separate from QC. I used to race this Chinese girl that we called Ming the merciless. See who could clip more boards. She hated to lose. Her name really was Ming too.

@@1pcfred lol yeah we had a couple ppl who were fast as mofo at different things we also had a Asian girl who was really fast at applique and building different security boxes I don't remember her name...We did a ton of work for ADT and ISTAR like motion detectors and commercial security systems and we even made the circuit boards for blinker switches...By QC I assume you mean quality control which is exactly what it is the company I worked for just called it finals..Alternative Manufacturing Winthrop maine..

They also sometimes use dots of glue to hold the SMD parts on while they go through the wave soldering machine.
@ubuntupokemoninc7 жыл бұрын
SMT parts on the bottom side get populated by a pick and place, depending on if the parts can be waved they will either be glued on with epoxy, or screened and reflowed just like the top side. If the parts cannot be waved and they are then reflowed on, there are two options for soldering the through hole components. 1: hand soldering, 2: a selective soldering machine which basically a CNC wave machine, it has a tiny little wave the you program to solder only a few spots on the board.
@distortion_tech_lab5 жыл бұрын
@@ubuntupokemoninc I imagined a robot with a solder dispenser carefully picking and choosing. I've heard of wave soldering and just watched this video out of curiosity. This board is pretty bare but I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around how this doesn't make a complete mess of more populated ones. Because I know how easy that is to do by hand with a momentary flinch. Relative temperature I guess? No cold spots to weld to.
@ubuntupokemoninc5 жыл бұрын
@@distortion_tech_lab It works beautifully, for a hobbyist with a hobby iron, maybe you will have troubles. but with strong industrial fluxes, good irons with proper temp control in the case of hand soldering is very easy. The only problem is bridging. Selective wave soldering has done away mostly with bridging.
