I got the Ezio blade and was happy with its length, the phantom blade I was ok with blade and with the dart, and finally the one from syndicate and was disappointed. It’s really frustrating that the blades keep getting shorter, because now I don’t want to buy them. Good review looks nice at least.

Thanks! Yeah the Ezio one was pretty good. And I guess Bayek's was pretty accurate, but his hidden blade was short to begin with. I am sure a lot goes into the manufacturer's consideration when developing these replicas, but you'd hope they would get it somewhat close to the movie or games. Hopefully with the next gen game in 2020 we might get a more accurately sized blade.

In movie 21cm blade part slides completely into 17cm "body" so I think no replica will have right dimensions of blade

No replica will match in game sizing. Its mechanically impossible to have that ability. Even if the gears were smaller, it wouldnt generate enough force to function

@@quentinhope7556 My understanding is that somebody made a sectioned hidden blade that can deploy and retract by pulling a string. Earlier versions (by Ammnra most notably) were gravity-based.

I bought a hidden blade (steel blade) from a prop shop in Hong Kong and it came with a letter describing why and how the blade works and why it's the langth it is this is a cool replcuca but it's not the greatest. Love the videos btw seen everyone since the start of the channel

I will never understand why they never make the hidden blade the accurate length it annoys me so much the only ones is the spirit Halloween Altair hidden blade it's pretty long and also the party City ezio hidden blade other than those none of them are accurate. Also libertas could you take a look at both those hidden blades potentially, I would love to see your thoughts on them.

They probably make them so short so people can't use them as weapons but if you've got the right tools you could build one the proper length from your own garage
