Hello there i have been listening to your playing and it reminded me when i was a young boy. I was with my family on vacation in Puerto Rico; My uncle played guitar and the cuatro left handed. The cuatro always fascinated me. I started playing the cuatro about a year ago. I can follow you a little at a time thanks! Perhaps i will take formal classes at another time. Your playing has inspired me to take the time and practice your songs and licks. My uncle was born in Vega Alta along with my Mom…i have a good ear in music….. thanks again Sorry I don’t write Spanish but i can read well.

Aguinaldo Aguas Buenas. Una clase de aguinaldo, El Seis Choreado de PR. De 1909. EL RITMO Exacto a lo que le llaman desde los 1980 a "LA BACHATA". Los Dominicanos le cambiaron el nombre y lo tocan con guitarra electrica y bongoses. Too slow, actually is like a Bachata ritmo.. from 1909. Probably the first in that ritmo. PR in PA..

It’s an “estudio”, in other words it’s slow in order to study.
