Daechwita is a Korean style of music used by the army when marching into war or used in a kingly procession. His old self and current self fight for dominance. In his previous mixtape he makes reference or alludes to how Suga (stage name in BTS) killed Min Yoongi (his birth name) and now in this mv and song through Agust D (where he is able to express his raw self) manages to kill off the king. Suga actually descends from royalty (the last empress of the country if I’m correct). Fun facts: long hair was indicative of status and wealth at the time Suga or Agust D is dressed in actual kingly garments Individuals with scars could never become king or queen but here we have Agust D going against the stereotype with a massive visible scar which shows how powerful he is. Daechwita refers to traditional Korean military music! It's played during military processionals and when the gates to the headquarters are opened and closed. I watched a Korean American YTer video earlier and he said dae means grand/big and chwita is the music played for the king and he explained it to mean like a grand parade for a king. The literal definition of Daechwita would be “blow and strike” it was made most prevalent during the Goryeo and Joseon dynasty and this MV took place in the Joseon dynasty and also Suga who’s real name is Moon yoongi is a distant relative of empress of the Joseon Dynasty Empress Myeongseong💜

There are 2 characters, Suga(Agust d) as the king and Suga as the bottom class. Daechwita is Korean traditional music that was played when King was move about or Army would be marching so literally here the bottom class Suga is saying "he is the king". King suga is the king of Korea's history who was tyrant and beheaded people. The king actually represents 3 big companies in korea who had power back then and kept bts away frm the throne bc BTS was frm small company with no money. The bottom class Suga with the help of bts (6 other guys) and army (bts fandom's name) who was represented by a girl that gave the car key to him.Suga dethroned King and become the real king. Now they are on the throne as he said he(BTS) is better than anyone. People who bumping their head was Army as well. In the beginning he locks eyes with the Butcher in the market who is also the executioner...they have a pact to stage a coup. He gets himself arrested by pulling up on the king in the yard.
