Y’all should watch it in order, it’s yoongi’s real story line daechwita-> Haegeum-> amygdala All this happened to him (The amygdala mv) Yoongi in the past in 2012 had a car accident while working as a delivery (just like the video) and broke his shoulder and made a surgery in 2020 because he was afraid to tell the company when he was a trainee to not kick him out and then didn’t want to do the surgery because of his group to not disrupt the group’s work he was afraid + when he was born his mam did a heart surgery + his dad had a cancer + he faced depression for so long and even thought about kîlling himself and went to a psychologist .. it was hard for him because his family was so poor he had to go to school, work and train at the same time .. he didn’t eat to have money to take the bus It shows that he made the scar himself, it represents what he went through, yoongi said he meant to show the scar healing in haegeum unlike daechwita .. he said that mean he is okay now and he said agust d is one of his personalities who faced these things, you can see suga tried to kill agust d the personality with the scar in both daechwita and haegeum , he is trying to kill and forget his bad memories that made that person to continue his life . and he will stop to do songs under agust d again because the scar is healed now but that doesn’t mean the end he said if he found other things to talk about he will do , but now might release things under suga or yoongi He is so brave and we are proud of him that he didn’t give up

Honestly, everybody says that the trilogy is messed up because of the order you watched it in, but not really. Amygdala was the beginning of everything. That is when he gave himself the scar, and August D was born. And then it starts from daechwita, where the scar is still fresh. Then comes haegum. As you can see, the scar is "fading" away. Furthermore, the tyrant King was never killed in daechwita, so he isn't actually continuously killing himself. On IU's pallete, he said that this is the last of August D. So that's why, in haegum, the "tyrant" was finally killed. And with amygdala he completed the circle (although not in chronological order of way things happened).

The scar is a physical manifestation of inner corruption. In this mv it’s the corruption of greedy and power abuses that come with capitalistic systems such as police and large corporations taking money at the cost of ordinary people and how that greed comes on due to our obsession with numbers/clout/money. So yoongi (no scar) killing agustd (scarred) is a case of him having the ability to know that he is a slave to these capitalist systems and forcing himself to do better. However, we then see the chopsticks that were used as a catalyst to criticise the system as a utensil for him to feed himself showing that were in a cycle on having to take part in this damaging system in order to survive even as were aware of its destruction. This wasn’t explained very well but there are better threads on twitter if your curious 🥰

Suga has come out and said D-Day is more than likely the end of Agust-D. The persona was created because he was frustrated and angry at people who looked down at him and he doesn't really feel like that anymore, which I think is a great reason to get rid of a persona

Now that, according to Yoongi, the trilogy of the Agust D with the scar is completed with AMYGDALA, I have a theory. I believe that Agust D started at AMYGDALA, since we found out that that's when the scar was made by him. I think that that broken part of him, in order to move on, had to be left behind. So I think that the Agust D of AMYGDALA died in that dark place. Then in DAECHWITA, the King is killed by the Agust D that became the Police Chief in HAEGEM. Who was then killed by that "new" guy that doesn't have a scar. I believe that the Agust D from the AMYGDALA, kept involving to the king then to the police chief and finally to the guy without the scar. The more scarred version of his got killed everytime by his more healed one. The reason why this trilogy is over is, I think, because his scars of his past are healed and he's now truly happy, away from that dark place... At least I hope... He went through so much. He deserves to be happy with his 6 brothers 💜

The way I interpret it is that the police officer is the rebel from daechwita who had killed the king previously. The police became corrupt and the rebel in this MV killed the corrupt police. The police laughed because he knows it's a never ending cycle. You can try to be above corruption but considering we're all slaves to capitalism, we can never truly be without greed. Also the way I see it the order is Amygdala, Daechwita, and then Haegeum. The scar is healing, he is becoming less angry and more at peace within himself.

Haegeum is also the name of the instrument, but another meaning is to lift the ban. You can interpret this song as meaning to lift the ban. Also, at the beginning of the music video, in the violent part, the lyrics of the song say, "This song is Haegeum." Therefore, I interpret it as something that seems cruel, meaning to break the forbidden

The guy holding him when he was being dunked in the oildrum was (probably) the survivor from the first heist scene, so gangsta!Agust stole the money to lure out DirtyCop!Agust, and was plotting with some of his people to take him down - which is why they just stood there and didn't take down gangsta!Agust when he came up with the gun and shot their boss. :)

I personally think the order is Amygdala, Daechwita, and Haegum. Amygdala he receives the cut, it's self inflicted so I think it represents his attempt, but also the mental wounds he has had to deal with. (This is just paraphrased of what I actually think of the MV, I'm just focused on the wound right now) In Daechwita we can see the wound is scabbed over, it's not fully healed but it's not fresh either. In Haegum only 1 of the personas have to scar, and it's a tru scar, the skin has healed with still trauma left over that couldn't be healed. Now my in depth view of this is when he first receives the wound, he is dealing with a lot mentally, he's depressed, stressed, and trapped in his own mind. He is mentally wounded. In Daechwita, King Suga is stuck in the past, putting on this facade but still being trapped in the past. Which is why a modern him kills King Suga. He finally becomes free of the past, but there is still something he has to overcome. This is where Haegum comes into the picture. Cop Suga is the only one with the scar, and it's a true scare. It's no longer this giant nasty wound that still may hold some pain, it's now just a reminder. It exists but no longer bothers him at such an intense level. Criminal Suga doesn't have one, and he kills Cop Suga at the end. I think this is Suga truly and fully breaking free of the restrictions set by his own mind. Criminal Suga is carefree, more daring, and willing to do what he wants as long as he's having fun, while Cop Suga is very neat and put together. You can tell he follows the order of his mind (the police force in the mv), this Suga is restricting himself from truly being happy. When Criminal Suga kills Cop Suga, he is finally set truly free, from his mind (Amygdala), the past (Daechwita), and the image he thinks he has to keep (Haegum).

It is a story that starts from daechwita. Let's talk about Haegeum. He talked about corruption in the industry and he talked about how we are slaves to social media, that's why he mentioned Yt. Now, about the red chopsticks that he used to kill and to eat, it could have the meaning of "You kill to eat and you eat to live." Our very existence and survival is based on that endless cycle. This time Yoongi went to take revenge on Agust D and this time he did kill him for real since in Daewchita it was seen that he shot him but it was left unfinished. He suga killed Agust D, that means he's finally free. Depression free. There are too many theories of this song, which connects it to daewchita, and all the others songs. Everything I wrote is ARMY theories. I just looked for them and shared with you.

"Daechwita" is when his scar was first introduced, "AMYGDALA" works as a prequel, and "Haegeum" is the sequel. The nearly healed scar on "Haegeum" Agust D, seems to point toward Suga's current position in his healing journey where the scar - symbolizing his trauma - no longer affects him, but will always be a part of his identity. The self-inflicted nature of the scar works as a physical manifestation of the trauma which he keeps revisiting in the music video. Suga is a known critic of the hypocrisy within Korean society that views mental illness in a more stigmatized light to physical illness. "People won't say you're a weak person if your physical condition is not good. It should be the same for mental conditions as well. Society should be more understanding."
