Thank You Emma for a GREAT video. We farmed back in the '70's retiring in 1993. We both worked out in the workforce after we retired. We had an 8 row planter which was BIG back in the day. I had so much fun watching this video. I will watch more of your videos! 👍 We live southeast from where Chet and Zach live, down where a lot of Sugar Beets grow and where SMBSC produces SUGAR! God Bless Minnesota! God Bless our American Farmers!

Zac Johnson got me started watching Chet and now Chet's got me watching your channel Emma! I'll be going back and binge watching all of your videos from the beginning now to catch up. You got to meet Miss Amy, but what about Dougo, did you get to meet him? And what about "The Big Swede", Brandon, Toby and Ray? You need to show up during harvest so they can get you started driving a grain cart!

Nicest thing about having your own equipment is using it when you have spare time, using it when conditions are right, and getting done the way you want it instead of waiting on someone's schedule to get it done.

If I remember correctly, I didn't think strip tilling is common in Zacks area. I don't think the strip tilling went very well for him. He's tried it two years in a row. The soil and weather conditions caused clogging and a urgency that amplified stress. He said he was done but we will see. If I misrembered please correct me.

What a great video!!! After talking with several farmers, you have seen what catasrophe happened to Millennial Farmer. That's also part of the game when operating such a farm. Farming absolutely not is an abstract science. You need a lot of knowledge, but also the mercy of God. (And ya, the 'drag' also breaks up the mud clods that surface, so you get a better (ie: smoother) planting surface). Love you all!

So would they be considered red river valley? I'm from SW Indiana, right in the armpit of the Wabash and the Ohio.

Gal-dang right, that guy Chet is sharking the farmin world from right there by the shark fin that goes into South Dakota. He shark so hard you can see on the google map how smart Dougo was to connect those hog buildings with pathways so no hog gets left behind or escape into the corn and kill the prufffits by eating the corn and loosing the sellin value of the hogPig that escaped. Dougo be passing thum sharkin genetics on to his kids! Get on with your sharkin Chet-er-ownski!! 😂🌽

Hello Dave! Emma is my kid. This is her KZbin channel. She likes to travel around and do farm tours - she has never professed to be a farmer or someone who knows all the things about farming. She is one smart cookie though and curious to boot. There's as many ways to farm as there are farmers and that's what she's setting out to prove.
