When I rebuilt my Poulan 47, I couldn't find new crank seals anywhere so I ordered them from Motion Industries. They seem to have any seal size imaginable.

That's a good lead. McMaster Carr is a good source too. www.mcmaster.com/products/shaft-seals/

The manual I have is showing the piston ring end gap .006 to .014 thousands so I would think you are still good for now.

Thanks I would be interested. I found base gasket on eBay and also found seals and a hopeful carb kit. Some part # for this sears saw I found here www.arboristsite.com/threads/sears-david-bradley-647g-parts-breakdown.249666/

Where did you burchase the rebuild kit?

I had to source each part separately. Mostly from eBay.
