Aham Rudrebhirvasubhischaramyaham is also known as Devi Suktam or Vak Suktam which portrays the supreme power as a feminine entity. When Mahishasuramardini emerged from the power of all gods, she introduced herself with these eight verses. Thus, it is known as Devi Atmaparichay Daan or the Goddess Introducing Herself.
Subhangik Performing Arts troop performs this piece which is a part of Mahishasuramardini programme of AIR's Mahalaya Morning Programme. This version is a recent version of the song composed on the Vak Suktam by Pankaj Mullick. This dance performance is performed by Subhajit Khush Das and 5 more very talented young dancers.

The Devi Suktam is a celebration of our inherent divinity and splendour!

So far this is the best choreographed performance I have seen in recent times. I was being reminded of Pt Uday Shankar's choreography. Excellent depiction of sensitive element of the song through innovative "mudras". And moreover the video direction, cinematography is excellent, which gives a final brushing to the beautiful performance. Shubhajit Da, your dance paints the picture of the story, and all the dancers are awesome.
