I truly resent how often people in this show seem to accuse the Wicca religion for hauntings and Demonic specific things. Those who practice Wicca are often stigmatized unfairly by the propaganda machine backing this show it seems to me. Pagan faiths are not as a rule tied to summoning evil spirits and the like. As a pagan exorcist, I've seen all sorts of people in my area who have issues with having moved into a home that was built upon sacred tribal lands where the dead are bulldozed out of their final resting places and yet the local neo pagan or wiccan groups get blamed for the angry spirits outright when the culprits are big construction companies flagrant behavior in hiding their desecration of old tribal burial grounds in the name of making a million plus in profits. Dark pagan practicers exist, which in my opinion is the type of book this teen and friends stumbled onto in this case. If anything, I'd say this kind of situation is exactly why books can be very dangerous in the hands of the ignorant and lazy minded in these rare cases. True Wicca and pagan faiths of so many diverse types teach the underpinnings before teaching any kind of focused prayers aka spells, Anyone who cannot master Will, Word, & Way has zero business trying to play that they are a priest for this reason. No teenager should ever be able to get pagan spell books period, but the glitter of gold seduces fools into writing books they think will sell to the curious despite most of the authors having zero clue how the multiverse works or that payments of thanks need to be made if you ever summon a spirit of any type, never mind something demonic. The three branches of power must be understood and mastered before ever trying to do spells or a summoning.

You could also use it as a panic room in case of intruders. Here in Michigan we can grow 6 pot plants per adult in the household so it would be a sweet little room for that also. Dont have to worry about prying eyes or people knowing it is there. Use it as a Gun room so if someone broke in they wouldnt find any, put all your valueables in their, cash, silver, gold, ammo just so many cool good reasons to have an undocumented secret room

They are Catholic and yet in Catholic deliverance prayers [used when things go bump in the night or if there is oppression] it includes asking for protection from the evil eye among many other things. In Erol and Sherri’s case, they made the mistake that many make. They assumed it only takes one house blessing. The fact that there was peace after the blessing only means it has weakened the spirits - not gotten rid of them. Which was a good start. However, that means they needed to keep doing the house blessing every day for three weeks. Next, they can slowly reduce to every other day for another three weeks,then keep it at three times a week for three months. Then, finally, every three months for the rest of the time they live there. This will steadily weaken spirits and not give them time to regain energy to the point they do give up. Keep blessing the home every three months anyway, which is a good practice for every home. In addition, practicing their faith and vowing to create positivity and unity in the home is very important. They made a lot of mistakes. That's why Sherri and Erol lost to the spirit. BTW, this only applies to human spirits. Demonic entities are a whole different situation.

Have you checked out some of those Father Lampert Catholic priest exorcist interview videos? Pretty interesting. Had no idea the Catholic church had a formalized 'ministry' with best practices and protocols to be followed in the manner it does. I come from a Catholic family, but they were pretty loosey-goosey and did not educate any of us kids much on the faith. I did manage to make communion, but dropped off during confirmation time. I just caught the 2010 Art Bell Ghost to Ghost radio episode replay and he spoke about a Filipino priest exorcist and described the same protocols Lampert talked about.

Relative to your comment, apparently when an exorcist priest is chosen you want to avoid the ones who WANT to be an exorcist. You also have to be more pure of faith than not and the priest doing a confession before exorcising is a must. What was extra interesting was using tap water along with holy water to prove out a demon or person duping you with their possession status. Also a formal mental health assessment by a medical professional must be done.

The amount of misinformation in this just goes to show how few ppl actually educate themselves before talking. Wicca is not even the slightest bit demonic nor is it the only form of witchcraft. Most witches are women who do not subscribe to patriarchal religions that want women to submit. Demons/demonic forces take control of those who are suffering from illness of either the body or the mind. Those who don’t have any inner strength left. Sorry, but there are so many ads, plus the places made for the tv ads that make you rewatch what you've already seen, that it's just ridiculous to attempt to watch or listen to.
