What stuck with me the most is that the giant bear chose not to pass on but rather stay with Fushi and the other spirits. We don't see a lot of him but the implications of his actions easily make up for his lack of screen time.

One thing I absolutely love about this anime is the thought that goes into the openings and endings. Messar died of an overdose. In the ending you see Eko urging him to come join the group while he has his hand put behind his head. Meanwhile Gugu stares with his arms crossed - he's embarrassed about how he died, Gugu is disapproving of it, and Eko is trying to make him comfortable lol! Little details in this anime are some of the best.

I didn't like it. It felt like the promised neverland season 2. They skipped so much at the end. I really wanted to see them grow up together as they accomplished their dreams. One scene they are talking about their dreams and next they are all old and die.

Damm I teared up at this episode and it hit in the feels hard. This was really an end of an Era they lived their lives they way they wanted and Fushi did it he spread his conciseness to entire world it seems. The author really is on next level and he should get a award for his work truly. Now that Fushi did he can bring them back if they want to. But its wonder how S3 will change the story they can take as long as they need. I will happily wait.

Despite the happy ending that last episode was really emotional. I even felt sad for Kohaku that despite being twisted still had goodness in him. You're are absolutly right for the anime production that need to be praised. We got 20 episodes straight with no delays and decent animation when multiples other animes with only 12 episode had a production meltdown. The worst case being Kantai Collection season 2 that was supposed to have only 8 episodes, started few weeks before To Your Eternity and still has not its 8th episode released as I'm writing this.

So that’s the meaning behind the big tree growing in the ED,it was always the souls of those close to Fushi waiting as he purified the world from the Nokkers. This is probably the happiest ending in To Your Eternity yet,even if some characters died in a not so happy way,they will still get the chance to live a great life in the modern day. But of course it wouldn’t give us a happy ending without giving us the feels before,that scene with Eko got me… I get the feeling this series will get a full adaptation,this is the second time the season ends and a new one is announced right after. And I’m definitely not complaining,see you in s3!

this was a great ending to the season. still felt sad for March and Eko. March didn't want to leave Fushi and we never got to see what happened to Eko. Watching the rest of the crew live their life as they seen fit was beautiful. That redemtion and destruction of the blood line and church was great. Would have loved to see the anti-fushi faction war, may be in an OVA.

Aside of that this series was an amazing; fun and full of emotions ride around the concept of life itself. I feel like season 2 was better than s1 but mostly also because s1 made s2 better like a sort of "well done and proper pay-off" Can't believe we got right away a season 3 announcement with a jump in time to Starbucks Fushi ! I can't believe just how epic this season was. When I think back to seeing an older Fushi, meeting Hayase's decendents and the introduction of Bon - just awestruck by everything. I'm so happy his friends got to live out the lives they never had. Looking forward to what season three will bring. Another great season, so satisfying. Thank you for the great analysis, as always.

We knew early on in Season 1 this would be a show about a culmination of characters and experiences and I just love how the further we go forward, there's so much to look back on, and it will just keep snowballing. To your eternity 2 season is finally over. And oh boy was it an emotional trip!😭 I swear this show isn’t healthy for me man. If I knew prior I probably would not have watched it so soon. This season was great; an 8/10 if I do say. It was a bit slow at the beginning but it wasn’t without warrant, the build up from both season 1 and 2 had a great pay off and I was completely there to see it. Actually practically the only reason why the show was so emotional for me was that you got to see the character struggle of the MC finally come to a satisfying term along with his interactions with his friends and family who he meet along the way. To Your eternity is about a journey to become God and the things it spells out about unity within all creation I am here for. Can’t wait for the third installment to this wholesome story where we see Fushi in the modern day, what new problems will rise we can only hope to find out. Indeed a SUBARASHII worthy series I recommend!!!🙌

The last episode was a great conclusion. We had some bittersweet endings of some of our characters, but would like to see them in season 3. RIP to Kohaku and the Nokker arm, and he took the church of Bennett extremist with him. The Guardians continue on, but I don't think they end with Kohaku. Season three is going to be exciting because it will be very different from the To Your Eternity we have been watching. Look forward to the new season, and look forward to the change of scenery.

I think we should all talk about the fact that Match preferred to die again and committed suicide by taking the drugs prepared by Tonari. She died as she was sitting next to Fishi, so this place was referred as her crave and her toys did infact show that.

I really hope though that they put a top-notch Animation Studio to the task of making season 3. The quality was pretty rough in the beginning of season 2 with a lot of subcontracted outside labor doing the work. If a studio like Kyoto animation were to do this project I think it could reach its full potential.

Unfortunately the modern world has many Churches of Bennett. Not feeling good about little March dying heartbroken/unfulfilled but OTOH Kahaku went out like a boss and it was super satisfying to see the Church of Bennet bishop get a molten iron enema! Starting to think that Tonari loved Fushi just as much as Kahaku low key. Hopefully in S3 March, Eko and Gugu can sip on some boba milk tea (as seen in the end card) with Fushi!

Season 2 was as good of an experience as season was, if not even more so. They changed the formula just enough to keep the same energy but pivot to a new direction full of twists and turns I didn’t see coming. What I liked was that this season seemingly put an end to some plot threads while starting newer ones and I can’t wait to see where these plot threads will lead to. Season 3 can’t come soon enough, I need more lol

One thing I'm very upset by is that Gugu had first died when he was trying to protect Reen. They had their first kiss just before he died, and we never hear that Gugu moves on. Gugu lost the love of his life and can't get her back while he has the ability to be resurrected as much as he wants. Sure, he could move on, but then he'd leave Fushi behind, and they're too important to each other.

This series is really fun and interesting, I do think I still prefer season 1 as some parts of season 2 seemed rushed for me. I loved the story and everything that happened but some stuff fell flat for me (expected a lot more from March/Gugu/Tonari reunion with Fushi, but that’s just me). Very interested to see how the story will continue. I still want to know if it means anything when we see Fushi’s eyes change color to the nameless boy’s original purple … we keep getting that once in a while and they showed it again with modern age Fushi but not sure if it actually means anything? And I like the call back to the boy’s wish … All sorts of people and all sorts of things, Fushi really has been living the boy’s dream!

No the eye color change was just an anime touch to show that fushi lived out the boys dream. In ep 1 the boy wanted to live in a world full of people so fushi getting their shows he lived out the boys dream for him as he went to heaven

Interesting to see the modern age now. They greenlit it before the finale aired. It’s a one of a kind anime whether you like it or not. It probably will take 1.5-2 years for season 3. Some characters could return and live out better lives. Kahaku made a sacrifice for the greater good although it’s important to note how there may be still other descendants. Maybe. And even if they move on, he can keep many of their forms with him. And Rean and Nameless Boy passed on and probably felt fulfilled. That’s a good way to make revival not perfect. Also with the huge time skip, some might forget about him or not believe it. Interesting to see the anti-Fushi faction. I could see Oniguma not returning although would be funny if he did. There’s some interesting things I heard about for the upcoming season and how it evolves

Concerning season 3 I would be totally fine with and even happy if none of the characters came back at least back to life. I do think there's some situation where it could be beneficial but I also have mixed feelings about the revival in general I'm happy they didn't linger on it too long as I feel like it would have really taken out any tension

You didn't mention one important thing: Tonari just killed March with poison. I just though "why?" Just because she wants to live with Fuji, there can be other ways to live a fulfilling life. She could learn something which will be useful for her next life with Fuji. It's not like it's such a bad thing, when anyone can just be revived, but still why?

the manga is ongoing. it's entering it's final stage a future arc and currently the anime is about to enter the present day arc.

Perfect ending, although it's sad March killed herself (even though she's probably coming back). I'm really excited to see how the politics of this modern world will play out. I want to see Fushi's stance on war between humans, or is his main concern fighting nokkers? If he interfers too much in global politics, will the people start to hate him? Can't wait for the s3 journey.

I'm happy not to be the only one who loves this anime as much as I do. Many say season two fell off compared to the first, to that I want to say you're still capable of enjoying the show regardless, are you not? And if not, treat Fumetsu no Anata e as if it never existed, because I'd be happy gatekeeping To Your Eternity to keep it away from people who can't appreciate it for what it is. Few anime offer completely unique stories and characters such as this one does. Although I will say that season 2 is an 8/10 whereas season 1 is an easy 10/10, but still, one of my favorite shows right here.
