Definitely not worth the wait...the restaurant too small......there are other restaurants out there that have pretty good food.

Whenever I review the authenticity and taste profile of a well executed dish of 咕噜肉, I always check to see if the chef use ' Hawthorn flakes ' 山楂餠 as sweetener. So far, I think I only managed to identify ' Wei's Kitchen ' in First Markham Place and ' Lobster Port #1 ' in Thornhill using them. In your opinion, which place offers the most authentic and tastiest version?

I think they both have diff styles. Lobster port is more of a 大廚房出餐,做套餐做酒席。Wei's kit hen is more like 鑊氣小炒。I've never been to Wei's but I have heard that they are good. I should go try one day.

I think you will like the ' Gone Chau Ngai Ho ' of Wei's Kitchen too! Visit EARLY!....tends to get very busy!@@TorontoHKger

@charlesyu9501 btw I visited 老友記 for dinner after I posted the 干炒牛河 video, OMG I just realized that they have the best 牛河!!!
