You can adjust the amount of light the lens takes in on a camera… the picture you see on the screen is what it looks like irl, but you don’t need to edit your photo after the fact for it to look like that

It looks like a ground squirrel. They are hard to distinguish from a chipmunk. Tree squirrels are easy to indentify, but ground squirrels and chipmunks are closely related, both have stripes, and are nearly the same size. Ground squirrels don't have stripes on top of their head, though, so I'm pretty sure the one in this video is a ground squirrel.
