it looks "easy" to do, but behind this, there a years and years of practising and talent! I'll try it however, I've not been painting for at least 2 years, due to my back & vertebrae condition, and I miss it! Thanks for the demo, it's really pleasant and inspiring!

practice is key. Paint the same picture 10 days in a row. Keep it simple and focus only on a few aspects at a time. Try it and you´ll see rapid progress.

Are you using gouache for the leaves and reflections? It works so well!

He says (in written form) in the video that he used orange, yellow and titanium white for the light yellow leaves and white acrylic paint for the white lines in the water. I personally would use gauche over acrylic, but this is purely artistic personal preference. No right or wrong, each artist does what works for them.

I tried it. But how did you cover the black brenches with the leaves color? Totally didn't cover for me, rather smudged. For the leaves I recommend using gouache!

I agree. Regular watercolor won’t cover as good as he did in the video. It was probably gauche or other opaque color. painted with watercolors for years and agree you you

Tried it! It came out okay for a beginner..the orange and yellow in my leaves blended with the landscape(dry) and turned a green colour though. I tried using undiluted paint and it still happened 😢. Can you help me out with the right way to paint this?

Leaves paint said “mixed with white to make it opaque “. That might help.

How did you get the yellow so pigmented that it covered the branches? Did you use a different kind of paint other than watercolor?

I used white watercolor and I also used less water, this gives the watercolor a way more opaque finish! You can always add two three layers.

I love this painting and that you are sharing your talent with us. But you mention in the video and in the description that you used only one brush for the entire painting when clearly you used three different brushes. Just seems odd....
