This is great, thank you. I’ve also recently discovered the Kmart Tuya range and am having a lot of fun with the lights and door sensors combined with my existing Tuya switches. This blog has some good ideas though, for instance I didn’t know Tuya had a countdown timer! Thank you.

Great video, easy to follow and implement!! I have setup local tuya, but for some reason the devices are not communicating on some occasions via wifi (they still work using the cloud), so have implemented IoT API commands as back up when I cannot ping the IP of the device.

Only one Tuya gadget is in my possession: a flood light bulb. I needed a color-adjustable BR30 flood bulb for a recessed ceiling can, and theirs was the only one I could find, at least without spending a wad of cash.☺️

Tuya is a company that provides standard solutions for the device makers. A company can buy automation board from tuya and solder it to whatever device they make. All user management, account management, clouds, support included. Quick and cheap.

I'm not sure about other Tuya devices, but the Mirabella bulb now has to be totally disassembled, headers soldered on, flashed, and reassembled because tuya-convert isn't working.

I've created my cloud project but when i go to add device, i download and install the Smart Industry App but then after I scan the QR code I have no account configured basically. If i enter my Tuya Developer Account I get an error. Anyone else having this issue ? It seems that the flow has changed because Ahmad configures his coud project and after authorising the APIs that he will use he gets another window where he sets up his Project Configuration(7:47) where he sets up his account that I guess is what he logs into his Spart Industry app to link a device to his cloud app. Anybody having issues like this ?

Nearby Tuya is nearly the bests but nearly one thing that bugs me which is the circumstance that after HA restart a few gadgets haphazardly going into zombie state (for HA they are inaccessible but from Tuya app everything is alright, the same gadgets are alright indeed in HA through stand Tuya integration).
