Yes you're right, of course these historical dramas are not based all upon reality, the biography of these eminent heroes is based upon just a page sometimes but the editors can create whole series from them. The purpose of these historic islamic series is to create a spirit of sacrifice amongst today's nation and to show them the sacrifices that their leaders made for the sake of prosperity of their rigion and country. So, these series aren't completely based upon all factual data, many changes are made to make the series brief.
