I can’t express my disappointment enough seeing how CG fumbled Lord Vader. The one GL I was super hyped to see in action ends up being a lackluster GL, and gets trounced by every other GL it seems. I mean, he’s literally the main character of the entire FRANCHISE. So how is he not able to compete against those in the same echelon as him in the game?

Considering how long each ship meta lasts (the Anakin Starfighter one was almost 3 yrs long), it's better to prioritize R8 mats on the Executor requirements instead of Vader at this point. At least I know that this Executor ship meta will last a really long time.

All the other Galactic Legends got cool new Animations, Ability’s and even other Skins (for example JML) Vader and Kenobi just Wave their Hands… and cost as much as a small car… I’m not sure if CG quite understands that they will not get new Players when they see that you have to spend thousands to even play the Game at a exciting level. And Farming 6 MONTHS for one GL in a mobile Game, is beyond ridiculous. Anyways Grand Admiral great Video as always, it’s a pleasure to be in the Empire! :)

CG logic on Lord Vader: Let’s make GL character relic requirements higher while also making acquiring gear in modes like conquest even harder. Plot twist! The GL sucks and isn’t worth getting without ultimate ability and r9 on GL and sidekick!

This is why they nerfed Darth Vader so hard. Number one, with Lord Vader lead, Darth Vader could go merciless and defeat half of the other team before they got a turn. Number two, Darth Vader was actually about as powerful as Lord Vader is now before they nerfed him. I don't spend much on SWGOH but I did spend over $200 a year ago to get the Darth Vader bundle and for crystals to gear and mod him. So CG can go somewhere.

For 4 relic 8’s he should be the most powerful GL. With such steep requirements to unlock him, it’s a real let down. It doesn’t help that he can’t even be used to his full, potential without Maul.

I'm beginning to understand why they split the GLs , they hyped us up with Kenobi, making us think Anakin would be even better so we dropped a ton of money, only for him to be meh without maul. Requiring a second character for GLs to be great does slow the power creep but if I'm dropping all these resources on a character it had better be amazing on it's own, Kenobi is, anakin is not

If Lord Vader’s ultimate includes taking masteries away from his enemies, (let’s say safely, 10% for each enemy), doubled for Jedi, Tusken, and Galactic Republic enemies, that would be a nicer payout. Or, it will turn into an overkill, which should be the way that defines Lord Vader.

On a lore perspective, I think that Lord Vader's gameplay is quite accurate. He's powerful, but gets beaten by Kenobi because of his lack of experience and especially is confidence in his new powers, but if you give him the time to really master them he has the potential to become a monster

Took my full relic 7 cls team and crazy mods and modifiers just to get it. Took me 4 crystal refreshes just to get it too lol

If I'm not overlooking something, you may want to use ultimate at the first stage, so that you can use it a few times. While you have Ashes you can't gain ult, so you'd be a bit stuck for 5 turns

You’d be able to build up to a 100% charge right after that too really fast since his middle special should be giving out 60% ultimate charge at that point (or you could do a first stage again). Yah I agree with you

Unlocked JMK 2 days ago. My first GL, so happy 🙂. Geared him to g12 (CAT as well) got me directly to top 50. Have no Issues beating other GLs except SLKR with Nightsisters and JML (if JKR direct focus CAT).

Two big things CG to make these GL more engaging. 1. Not making dependent on other units since they are suppose to be end all be all units to obtain. And 2. Make the actual event stages be hard, but once you beat it, you get the unit maxed out with ultimate(considering the requirements needed to even unlock the event). Pretty simple on CG's part honestly.

Just a pitch for Lord Vader’s Ultimate animation and event change, that’s not impossible. Lord Vader in Tiers 4-6 of his Event are him with no robe (already in the game), basically LV at his strongest point in the ROTS movie. The beginning of Tier 4 for his event could’ve recaptured the most iconic scene of ROTS, the interaction with Padme and then Kenobi. Then right after that dialogue the Tier 4 battle could’ve opened with Kenobi and LV still on the ship landing pad, with Padme unconscious in the background and LV is still cloaked. Then make it where you can only hit LV Ultimate ability to start the battle and when you hit his ultimate ability, LV drops his robe and reignites his light saber into a aggressive stance, with his Sith eyes glowing enough to be visible and to show he’s fully consumed by the Dark Side, maybe add lava exploding in the background for cinematic effects.. that would’ve set the tone for the rest of the Event!! And explain why we got no robe LV tiers 4-6 and cloaked version. In a sense it could be similar to the JML or SEE ultimate animation.

But there's no where for this to happen! The Steroid Rancor doesn't allow to you ramp up for too long, and Vader's stat increases end at the end of the encounter. What's he for? I feel like he was just a cash-grab.

The key with these battles are to use 2 ults at 65% and use the 100% ult when LV is by himself because when you use the 100% ult first, you can’t charge it again. He should end up soloing the team

I think you need to not greed for 100% on the first ult. In fact, 65% is better for the first ult as you will continue to charge your ultimate after using it. When you use your ult at 100%, you do not gain any ult charge for 5 turns, and you also risk losing someone before popping it at 100%. You will be able to win much quicker this way.

I think an important consideration is the 30% less damage from Light Side toons when you have an unaligned dark side force user, so bringing in KRU instead of OG Stormtrooper can easily tip the scales

Hey Grand Admiral, big fan for many years even commented on some of your videos in the past. So want to hear your take on this. I think CG should consider changing some of the R8 to R7 or maybe lower and return the material to the people that invested in this event cause unlike Kenobi who did great without CAT from the start, Lord Vader has been underwhelming. I know that Maul is the larger picture but Lord Vader doesn’t seem to be worth the requirements they made for the event.
