I know it’s a completely different game, but Escape from Tarkov has a few nice choices for backgrounds they have added over the years. It’s nothing crazy, just the option to show trees or their “labs” map in the background but it is a nice feature to just change up what you look at for hours and hours

My wishlist for the New Year 1. Raid Overhaul and Raid Exclusive Characters. A Raid becomes the “featured” Raid for that week, giving the GET 3 currency, and it changes out every week. Brand New Raids are featured for 1 Month Straight and then become integrated with the Raid Cycle. Raid Exclusive Characters become easily farmable once the next Raid comes out. 2. More ships. Ships have gotten boring since there’s simply not that many fleets in the game. So whenever something new is added it almost always upsets a very delicate balance. If there were more fleets in the game then ships could have a more rock, paper, scissors meta like the character game modes do. 3. Datacrons no longer expire and won’t become automatically dismantled. Instead you’re simply not allowed to use them and are locked in the “Datacron Vault”, until that Datacron Set reappears again. Then you can break out your old collection. That way players can slowly develop a Datacron Cache over time, but only 3 Datacron Sets will actually be “Active” at one time. This would prevent Older Accounts from using their best Datacrons no matter the season. 4. This is a small thing but being able to filter multiple tags at once for ships or for characters. Let me look specifically for Galactic Republic Jedi. Not Galactic Republic OR Jedi. Both tags at once. When they changed the filter system and updated it I thought it would let you do that by simply checking multiple boxes but you just can’t for no reason. 5. More flexibility when it comes to team composition. And a lot more plug and play characters released without intending to be with a specific team. Characters like Ruthen Rael, Conquest Ezra, or Captain Rex which are really good with a specific faction, but can still boost multiple other teams, and are strong in their own right. More theorycrafting makes the games less stale. 6. More in game guides like farming strategies, meta squads, and the ability to look up information in game. Like what gear a character needs to get to gear XIII. We already have the technology, but you always have to go to other websites outside of SWGOH. But if you’re just a casual player, you are at a HUGE information disadvantage. You don’t know what teams are good, you don’t know how to get them fast, and you simply don’t know how the game works. I saw someone invest heavily into the Imperial Remnants because they loved Beskar Gideon from Mandalorian. And I had to let them down by telling them they couldn’t get DMTG for at minimum 1-2 real life years because of Conquest. There should be more information and more guides in the actual game. As much as I enjoy your content Ahnald, you shouldn’t have to go to a third-party in order to properly play a game. 7. Increased mod storage and less RNG around mods. As a new player it is incredibly difficult to get good mods, especially when you aren’t receiving as many credits as the older accounts, and you don’t have a bank of credits you can draw from. You also need to mod a lot of teams and there just isn’t enough modding resources to go around. 8. More community events and interaction in general. Like the spending energy for Conquest event for extra shards. Or the ability to vote for the next Conquest Character, the next GL, or what the next ship should be in game. Everyone wins. The community gets a new unit that (most) everyone wants, and CG makes more money because more people are willing to spend on that character. 9. I’m gonna steal one from your list. The Galactic Conquest, or Galactic Skirmish to make it sound different from Conquest, where you have to capture and defend planets like a RTS game as a replacement for TW’s is something I really want in this game. 10. A Crossover with another franchise. Whether it be Marvel Strike Force, Lords Of Middle Earth, or even Star Wars Hunters. Something new that could encourage more interaction between these similar communities.

@@osets2117 Sure there are. If you do 3-man teams like Endor, you could easily do a ship raid.

@Celoth not including reinforcements, and the endor raid had 8 attempts. It doesn't math out. Reinforcements is a major mechanic of fleets so not having that defeats the purpose and you can't just say "have them activate at the start" as most reinforcement abilities are a case by case basis. All you have to do is compare the number of characters needed for raids to the amount of ships we have

@@osets2117 I see what you're saying, I just disagree. I think it's doable. If I'm a developer at CG, and the assignment is "Design a ship raid", I think it's 100% doable. Nothing firmly ties a ship raid to any pre-existing mechanics, they'd be able to go far outside the box if needed.

I could see a death star raid being a special type of raid. Like how we choose difficulty beforehand, we also can choose ship or character. Characters are on endor fighting storm troopers getting the shield down. Ships are in the air, fighting empire ships trying to progress waves to reach the center and destroy the core. Victory is shield going down and death star blowing up. Defeat (rage limit reached) is the death star activating and blowing up something and thus ruining moral for us and losing. (I forget what might have been attacked in ep6)

i think they might do a andor vault heist as the next raid cause the next season comes out in april and we've only gotten 1 character from the 1st season so far. After they put out the bad batch wave of content i could see them pivoting to andor and adding a heist crew tag for the andor people

As for new pvp mode, I think that a real time arena like in Epic Seven could serve both as a pvp testing for guildmates, but also give players something actually to do in the game once the chores are done.

Omg so surprising to see another epic seven player. I actually feel like it could never work in a game like this just due to things like character power and team synergies. In E7 u can mix and match whatever but in swgoh so many teams are limited due to only working with the same tag so they would just ban the leader or something. Also I feel like it would be excruciating to sit there and wait for your opponent to take a bunch of turns killing everyone never getting to make a move on top of the lag/delay that there may be.

@TsunaX well, if to more or less take E7 system and put it into the game, result would be that gameplay and team building would be completely different from everything else, which isn't bad and since as you said, what matters in the game is the team synergy, but you could ban 1 or 2 characters so basically you'd have to make coherent teams beyond just faction/character callouts, but have more priority on what the character does on its own. Though obviously, GL's will have to be addressed specifically, because otherwise at certain development, people would use pretty much only GL teams.

All I know is if there is a Death Star raid, it’s going to be completely unenjoyable after the first 2 times you run it. Incoming enemies who take a bonus turn every time you gain 100% tm and reflect all debuffs you cast back to you. If no debuffs cast they steal all your buffs.

Makes more sense than the theory of a Peridia raid. Real talk though its going to be some kind of mercenary/bad batchal/mando raid I would love to.see a Rogue Squadron fleet though. Reworks.for.biggs and wedge's xwings, Red 5, Kyle Katarn's ship some new unit to be the tank on the team. Not sure we really need a third rebel capital ship but it could be a way to get folks excited for the next meta fleet grind.

Simming previous raid score is something ive wanted ever since the Krayt raid. It would make so much sense, take away my personal rewards even im cool with it. Naboo is just too much of a time crunch, i can hit 7-8m but most raids i just use gungans and hit full auto and thats it because i dont have the time. Fingers crossed!

CG could monetize an interguild sandbox mode... that could put a crystal gate to access. Say they require a guild to contribute 25,000 crystals or so (so 500 crystals per member) to unlock the game mode for a round. That way there's a monetization aspect using a currency CG already has in play and players have to monitor - and can replace with outside currency - for resource management.

Quick-Play GAC. My continual wish! Very similar to the speed gac from years ago. But they make a ladder that you can go in and play a full gac on ladder, but in an hour. The potential is endless. It fixes the sandbox problem. It fixes the play-with-friends problem. Huge streaming and competitive/tournament play potential. And unlike live play, it doesn't require new tech.

Personally, I think it would be really neat if there was a Character AND Ship path in a raid. Have an ERA that uses events as staging for a Death Star raid would be super exciting. Just have an Era that had Red 5/Squadron Leader Luke as the Episode Marquee Units mixed with others that lead up to the event. Just a thought!

The biggest problem with a ship raid is how they do the factions for the raid now, we don't have nearly enough ships even if they let is reuse capital ships (which is not how raids work)

Since this is the 10th year the game has been around, I wanna see them give us the real anniversary rewards. More than normal. Maybe a single day of 10X drops just to really show players they can do this. Or even if it's 5X drops that's fine too. Also provide 10 full zetas(200 mats) and atleast 3 full omicrions (60 mats).

Death star raid. A phase inside the death star in the detention block, then one in the hanger, then a ship one doing the trench run. Or you can do a death star 2 raid w two continuous sections (one on endor and one in space)

Something has to be done about shard drops in general. There should not be a time where you spend energy and get nothing (Especially during double drops). Adds way more time to farms than is really necessary. Spend $200 as a new player or be years behind everyone else is extremely prohibitive.

For live PVP, I think they would need to figure out how to avoid letting turn meter train teams function. Facing off against one would be a miserable experience. Banning characters that provide TM cuts out big swaths of the game's roster, and changing the function of the abilities would be such a fundamental change that I don't think it would be feasible. Working that out seems like such a daunting task by itself that I don't think pursuing live PVP would be a good path.

More mod storage, increase the rewards for zetas. Not even asking for more opportunities to get them. Instead of 1 mat in the fleet store do 2, win a territory war or 1st in GAC you get 6 not 3. Just doing that would double what you can apply every month. Gear grind is fine but signal data and relic 9 mats should be more ways to get them.

For the love of baby yoda, please please please update the datacrons UI to allow for scrolling/swiping between datacrons of the same set. It’s maddening to leave one DC and forget which one you just left just to have to hunt and peck again. Also, it would be amazing if you could launch an infographic or pop-up that summarizes the stats like when selecting a datacron for battle. It’s tedious to have to leave the Inventory screen to go into Squad Arena just to get a more practical view of the stats.

Cheaters are definitely still a problem. There is a home one always in the top 5 of my fleet arena shard surrounded by Leviathans and Executors. My shard has been trying to get him banned for over a month 😭

On the topic of doubling Ship Shard Drops, I think most of the “hate” towards ships from the community stems from the sluggish time to farm a ship, like, for a single 7-star ship farming only one node and refreshing it twice a day you’ll take about a 1/2-2 months to farm, a single unit… Double drops on older ships to fill those fleets would be a welcome addition, and make them relevant for newer players. I struggled on my alt until I got a Dark Side fleet well established to use in the MG event and get all my Zetas flowing in, so I can say that the new players experience there is bad and shuns away people from ships. BUT the ship battles gameplay loop is not bad (in my opinion), there’s less variables than characters in place, which makes them less frustrating most of the times. My wish for 2025 is that Ships get more love, new fleets, and new units for older fleets. And man, I love the Vehicles in Star Wars, not just ships, land vehicles too, I think that a vehicle + infantry mode would be nice, like, get 2 vehicles (droid tanks, AT-ATs and the such) and 3 infantry and make a “Ground War” gamemode where you have high damage and tank-ish vehicles suppressing enemies, throwing debuffs and AoEs, while the infantry is used to sneakily (or full front assault) take out the enemies. Could tie-in really well with an overhaul on the TW system as you said, and if done well would be a breath of fresh air in the game.
