Another tip: Learn what factions and kits use what color of smoke. Knowing who threw that purple smoke can be the difference between pushing a medic who is bandaging, and pushing a teammate.

@@PotatoflakeJake I also switched the keybind for the map to caps lock and the deploy screen to enter. This makes it easier to pull the map up quickly. I’m constantly toggling the map open which really helps with situational awareness.

Additional suggestion would be learn rifleman > medic > lat > SL. Learn the most important and lowest skill floor roles and then be able to put it all together as an SL.

It really is so necessary right now, I mean seriously, how hard is it to just have the client scan for objects within half a metre of the weapon and apply a stabilisation buff when not moving!!! That's the simplest and most consistent way to help everyone enjoy th3 ICO more!

FNGs,stop sprinting until your stamina is completely depleted and then some. Sprinting till your stamina hits 50%/75%,then walking (stamina regen),then sprinting again is just about 2-4 seconds slower than a full sprint to the finish line but leaves you in a much better situation should you get shot at and have to return fire.

where should i apply this? like 100m out from objective? i'm very new, every firefight i'm winded and wobbly but if i'm afraid if i don't sprint i'll fall behind and be alone.

​@IoloIololoIoI The thing is, SQUAD is very situation-based and situations are often very varied. You should basically always do this except from if you are running for your life! Any far distance movement should be done from vehicles before dismounting and moving. Any movement in a contested environment should be done with just as many players covering you as there are moving at any one time, leapfrogging or bounding up to the same point. The team who does this and maintains a higher level of stamina will land more accurate shots and react quicker, suppressing or killing the enemy sooner.

7:34 re suppression. A good rule of thumb that the UK use in their doctrine (obviously don't go full milsim) but 1 round every 2seconds within 2meters of an enemy will most the time keep their head down and give you time to push up/run away :)

On the topic of optics, the Canadian optics' lowest range is 200m. So in most engagements you have to aim at the enemy's chest or legs to hit them. It's something people might overlook as they get used to every other weapon having 100m as the lowest range. (Also if for some reason it's hard to tell if someone is friendly or not, look at the weapon. It can make it easier especially if one of the factions use AK's.)

Theres a button on my mouse that I set to lower my DPI to 500 when I hold it down and then go back up when I stop. Absolutely changed the game. No weapon sway when aiming at all.

i'd say that hold/toggle sights is more of a preferrence. Having lots of experience myself, i tend to get 10+ kills on a lot of rounds and couldn't imagine me being comfortable using hold (maybe due to arthritis in my hands) as for sensitivity, i'd actually love to have 3 decimals as i flick between 0.02 and 0.03 with my G305 set at 6500 dpi (i'd love to play at 12000 to make micro adjustments for long shots easier) One tip i'd love to share is... Capping the points in order! No you cannot go make an ambush on the enemy past the center objective at the start of the round. Get some habs up, maybe do a logi-run or 2 before proceeding. This has 2 advantages: Capping the first objectives fast, makes you able to cap the center objective faster too! And having a ton of supplies on the first FOB will make it easier to make another with proper defences fast.

MY graphics settings are all maxxed except shadows on a 6800xt in full 4k. However I use DX12. I normally never see below 50fps. (8600k @ 4.1ghz, 32gb ram)

honcho, you said you are playing on 4K, i am too, and all the UI elements are really small. i tried UI scaling them, but some things are still not right and hard to see, like the player icons are way bigger than the objective icon for example. how do you handle this? i am having trouble playing in 4k in general because the UI elements in all my games are too small.

I buy Squad on christmas at that time i was a novice bad at everything i even killing my friend more than enemies. But here in 2024 i was different, i realized in squad you are not one man army like other game its more like strategy and communication based shooter games. now i am better stronger smarther even i occasionally became SL to point my mastery in this game but one thing tho i still sucks in identifying friend or foe so i more like brain user than gun user in this game 😂

Do you have any updates on when the update for improvements for the ICO are to come? I just have to say. As a Soldier that has been in the Army for 8 years. These ICO mechanics are absolutely horrendous. It is true that you sway alot while fatigued. But ots no where near as bad as this game portraits.

7.2 is bringing some changes dialing things in and tightening them up. If you haven't seen it one of my most recent uploads covers the changes with some side by side comparisons I can't say when (they won't let me) but it's right around the corner! It's worth the wait as it's a great step in the right direction

I have same gpu( 470ti) and play in 3440x1440, definitely dx12 and DLLS give me better performance. Draw frame time is reduced and game more responsive with 20 fps more.

@@deficator750he covered that in the video. The larger the scope, the longer the ads time. Iron sites are the fastest to ADS and when expecting close quarter combat and having to ads quickly, you shouldn’t have a scoped weapon.

@@iKennectz the things is if you clear a building its not like you can change your weapon. for example the m4 eith big scope is popular but when approaching enemy base u have to no scope everything because the zoommis way to close. my favourite gun is the auto russian ak gun and the aussie styr aug with small scope. those have the least sway of any gun ive used.
