I don’t get why people are so upset. AI ISN'T TAKING YOUR JOBS. Give these new tools a try and decide for yourself. It’s incredible what today’s technology can do. And if you’re not a fan stick to your usual methods. In the end clients care about the final video and cost not the software you used.

YES! Most people forget that actually many traditional jobs have already been "taken over" by new technology over the past 200 years, which has also created a large number of NEW JOBS that never existed before. And when I say "most people forget," that is no exaggeration, unfortunately. It IS most humans who forget this. 😅

You don't get why people are so upset? try talking to a graphic designer, or someone who spent their life learning how to draw and mastering their techniques just so some dude with two brain cells can call himself an artist for being able to put 4 words together.... You think AI isn't taking jobs? no one is paying graphic artists anymore. Now, I get it... technology has always existed and improved, and I have been using AI tools and following its advancement since around 2016. Always been an enthusiast, but I wouldn't have the nerve to call myself an artist for generating an image in Stable Diffusion and then ask why everyone is so upset

@smacktabular5755Ай бұрын
people aren't getting upset because it's going to "take our jobs", it's the push of this technology into creative spaces as justification for it's existence. The only two things I could really see this tech being used for is more convincing fake AI Joe Rogan ads, shit posts, and people incorporating so much AI in their workflow that their own touch isn't even present in the content. There is no good reason for this technology to exist other than to replace a workflow no one other than people looking to make a profit want replaced. Like find me a character animator that wants a robot to do their timing for them or their in betweens or key frames or etc, this technology actively robs creativity and it's frankly pretty tiring to see this glazed looking crap paraded around as animation. "In the end clients care about the final video and cost not the software you used", yeah that's real telling about how much you know about animation clients lol, also let's play with this scenario for a second. you, a freelance "AI animator", get a gig with a client that wants a thirty second ad for their toothpaste or some shit. You come back to them within the same week and give them a MP4 of an AI image tracked to your face advertising their product, why would they hire you again if they see they can just shit out something like this themselves and for much more cheap. Additionally this is completely unusable in an industry setting, like I have no idea where in the pipeline this could be used.

I have spent the last 3 years working my ass off learning 3d animation. Looks like I might as well have been standing on a ledge pissing into the wind. I am not pissed though because it's just a hobby for me. For any kids spending a fortune on schools I feel sorry for. Kids hoping for a career that is not there anymore. This animation is beautiful.

Isn’t controlling a static photo with your face “old hat” at this point? What’s really new about this?
@FilmSpookАй бұрын
In some ways, yes, but this is clearly more freedom for creators, and another step closer to Hollywood-level filmmaking at-home. Thus you are missing the point. But yes, until Runway actually matches the A.I. capabilities of MiniMax in animation and following prompts then this new update is sort of a gimmick, to a large extent, because Runway's main filmmaking feature of generating A.I. video is FAR behind what MiniMax is doing.

@@LearnHowToEditStuff I had initially watched your videos for insightful editing tips and vfx tutorials, which admittedly are very fun and informative! I remember years ago doing the shooting stars edit and it was a blast haha. I had just come back from a video by Doodley about the dangers of new industry “innovations” as many of them attempt to eliminate artists and animators from the picture entirely. As an artist/animator, it really does feel horrible to see AI “Animation” as if it’s a suitable replacement for all the hard work artists have contributed to film. That’s why I said “horrible.” Not to insult the video or the person who made it, but to express my opinion on the normalization of a ‘medium’ built on greed and cutting corners.
