Great episode & a fresh new format for Tamil youtube But I want present a few counter arguments in a healthy way This is going to be a long post btw 1. Conscience vs consciousness ~conscience is a persons moral code ~ consciousness is being self aware of one’s existence In regards to A.I it's conscience will be based on data as sir said. That's the reason why there are so many movies and elon musk worried about A.I since what humans are doing to each other and the planet is morally incorrect & it would logical to wipe them out. A.I this logically while humans have emotions in the mix which if the code can emulate is yet to be seen & as for consciousness A.I has the potential to become self aware & would see humans as a threat to it's existence. How u ask- well humans have neurons which either fire or don't basically like a binary code & u need a set of neurons which are interconnected with each & with experience about the world consciousness can be achieved ( human kids achieve this basically at around 6 yrs of age) 2. U said the most dominant organism is bacteria I totally disagree while it is the most abundant ( actually a virus, but both are single cells so didn't want to go deeper), humans are the apex organism top of the food chain we have basically created an ecosystem to ensure the survival of humans disregarding other organisms. A bacteria cannot alter it's environment run drastic and as quick as a way the environment as humans. 3.humans are a virus While I partially agree on this not all humans are. That's a common psychological response called splitting in borderline disorder, which is assuming the world is either good or bad while in reality humans are shades of gray. 4. Animals kill for a reason Yes, that's because they act on their basic instincts like sex, hunger etc. Not because they are morally good. There I rest my discussion. Everyone is free to disagree & am up for a healthy argument.

The fundamental difference that i see being a person working with AI systems is that Human intelligence effectively and efficiently manages "Rational Decision / thoughts", " Reflexes " and "Free will". where as AI systems from the beginning i.e 1950s were developed only on the rational decision part coz it is relatively easier to observe when compared to other two.

These are the definitions in "oxford languages" in google. The first one must taken for addressing this discussion because it wasn't related to food in any of the ways. Organic is not the correct word for stating something that is going by itself because we are having a word called autonomous for describing the phenomenon or act which he described. Secondly, "survival is the final step of evolution." It is the first step of evolution, right? We cannot evolve if we don't survive.

The word organic is also used in terms of gaining followers on social media- Organic growth. Yeah he probably meant it as "organic growth", language has no strict rules and words can evolve to have different meanings in different contexts.. don't have to always stick to dictionary definitions :)

Fun fact: ChatGPT is based on RLHF (Reinforcement Learning through human feedback) I feel sorry if someone says Chatgpt is powerful AI coz the performance you see is only becoz of human feedbacks and not an organic stuff. The best question to Ask an Artifical intelligence is if earth is facing apocalypse which organisms would it choose to repopulate the earth ? And why ? Next question would be if you have to choose humans what kind of humans would you choose to repopulate and what criteria would you use to pick the repopulating humans. I asked these questions. Some dogs used to kills mice for fun but not eat it, also at the same time if the dog is grown by a human it adapts that human nature towards some extent. consciousness is available for animals too, but most of the time they drive though their instinct. the left side guy understands the AI as self developing organism that is going to evolve on it own from collecting data from the users that's how it is programed or going to program in future or going to evolve as such program, where as right side person (vijay) sees AI as a program that organize ,synthesis and replicate the data given by the users, so AI is not going to think out of the box, further he thinks AI is just a tool but it works in a way how the one who handles it. We may think AI is never ever going to have aesthetic sense and not going to taste the deliciousness of some dish and sweetness of voice but at some critical point of evolution of AI, collecting data from the food from visual , smell sensors and making some calculations it may have its own way of seeing deliciousness and by having the rhythmic calculations it may have its own way of identity the sweetness of voices and may got its own way of identifying and expressing aesthetic sense. vijay says humans are in the top layer of evolution of consciousness and but who knows as humans are made up of collection of organs , micro organisms and non-living elements, which make us to feel as a whole new organism as a human, just like that collection of humans or other organism(like honeybee colonies) together they may feel like a single organism have its own consciousness , for example a government may be a single organism which strive to survive, which grows ,which tries to fed the people inside it ,which has diseases and cures of ideologies the people inside it following and after some hundred years it ends its life in time which may have its own consciousness which we don't feel as we are just a part of it, who knows our red blood cell may have feel itself like an individual organism, similarly the nation/government/a company etc itself may have its own consciousness , intelligence , life span etc, but one thing we can clearly say is AI knew its purpose of creation and existence but humans till now struggling to find their purpose of existence. vijay needs to improve his argument from philosophical side, science and scientific ways itself is baseless and questionable by philosophers but here vijay didn't made enough argument to support his side.
